good product good price
locker works well. prepare yourself for noises cornering on the street. I have one in the rear already and just put this one in the front. so i already knew it would make noise, it doesn't bother me at all but it might annoy others.it functions perfectly though and you never have to worry about damaged air lines or electrical issues its just always there and works.

DONT BUY.
Bought and put in my cherokee Dana 30. Worked good for a while then started acting up. Installed to spec took out today still in spec range and the locker is broke. The holes that the pins go in broke off big chunks out of the side wall on the locker. Rated 5 star at first now giving it a one. If you don't have money for a Spartan locker keep saving to get one don't waist time and money on this just to take your axle apart again. Will cost you more money in the long run.

So Far So Good - UPDATE
30May17I was very skeptical about buying this locker as I could not find any reviews online anywhere. The one I got was just wrapped in paper; no official packaging and that made me even MORE skeptical. Thought what the hell and went ahead and put it in. So far so good as I test drove her today on surface streets and I couldn't notice a difference minus the clanking of the rachet gears. I put it in 4WD and the steering was WAY stiffer and wanted to go straight so I know it is engaging in 4WD. I haven't taken her through her paces offroad yet nor have I gone on a highway. Will update when I do and depending on those tests there could be a star added in the near future. This kit does not contain a new crosspin nor does it come with any sweet stickers to put on your rig to show everyone how BA you are.10Jan18Ok, so I've had this thing in about 8 months or so. When first installed, when I turned right it clicked all nice like a ratchet but when I turned left it made more of a grindy noise. Since its such a PITA to do I went the lazy route and left it in hoping it would 'break in' and quiet down but no such luck. However, during this time I made it out to Badlands and the locker worked like a charm. I didn't hear it slip once when I was giving her gas. So recently I got some new parts and I thought what the hell let's check on that locker. I took it out and there is no evidence of scoring nor any metal flakes anywhere. Pins were a little worn but the springs seemed ok. I called Sylvan and talked to Hannah; she was uninformed on the specifics of the locker (tolerances, etc.) but she sent me a new spring/pin set and some other extras since I was having trouble. She was super pleasant and judging by her demeanor and voice she is super cute. (Holler if you're ever in Indiana and want a beer ;)). Disclaimer: I didn't check tolerance/gap when I first installed it, but now that I removed it I'm guessing the gaps are too big so I'm going to put new pins in (prob keep the springs), new thrust washers on (this locker says you use them), flip the locker (see if the crunchy moves sides) and see what happens. Will update again when I put it all back together.08Feb2018Ok, so I opened her back up and took out the locker, cleaned it up and reinstalled it with new thrust washers. I used the old pins/springs but put them back in randomly, and I did switch the way I put it (switched L to R) and put in some fresh gear oil. I didn't see any evidence of damage (scratches, metal flakes, etc). First thing, it is WAY quieter. I can still hear it but nothing like it was. However, the one side (now switched to the other side) still sounds 'crunchier' then the other when turning. I have only used 4x4 is some snow but both sides seemed to have equal traction when I hit the gas (equal length front wheel burnouts). All in all I think this is pretty good. Keeping the 4 star reviews but I think I would recommend. I haven't gotten on anything too wild but unless this grenades inside my diff I think this is the end of my review.

Not for daily driving, but perfect for trail rig
Put it in my 96 grand front end. Running 35 inch tires, worked perfectly. Strictly off road jeep, sees very little pavement, but preformed as expected. Didnt effect steering, put steady power down on both ends. For the price, Cant go wrong
