Very good! A nice mild fish in a good beer batter. This fish had a nice fish-batter ratio. As most fish products seem to have too much batter. As the batter overshadows the actual fish fillet. But I found this fish to be nicely battered, not to thick. The fish had a nice crunch and a nice mouth feel while eating. The product arrived with plenty of dry ice, well frozen and in perfect condition. It may seem expensive, but not really. Considering you will get several meals out of it as it goes a long way. I order quite a bit of this type of fish. And here is what I have learned. The larger the fish, the thicker the batter. I don't like thick batter! The smaller the fish the thinner the batter. As I have ordered everything from 11oz fillets too 2 oz fillets. My personal preference are the small 2-3-4 oz! As to cooking, always use a good oil and a good thermometer to keep temp at 350. never guess about your oil temp. And never, never, never place any fried food on a paper towel! Always place your fried food on a cookie cooling rack. Unlike a paper towel, a cookie cooling rack will allow the residual oil to drain away. Whereas a paper towel allows the product to bath and soak in the residual oil! Making your product soggy! Pass the malt vinegar please!!!!!!!

I bought a bag about 6-months ago and struggled through them. Unfortunately, I forgot and recently bought another bag. The majority of fillets (if you can call them fillets) were horrible! One had the skin left on an the others were tough chewy dark meet that were extremely fishy. Don't waste your money on this inedible product. They are disgusting.
