Product description Star wars 3.75 action figure toy .com This toy's main attraction is that the two front prongs of the craft crumple up on impact (with a wall, the floor, etc.) in a convincing manner, as the rubber that covers the prongs really looks like mashed-up metal. A press of the button makes them pop back into place, good as new. Fortunately, the speeder, with a nice level of detail on the surface and inside the cockpit, has other good features that will entertain Star Wars fans tired of crashing the fenders. The cockpit is supposed to fit "most" Star Wars action figures, but we found that some figures are difficult to seat and remove easily due to cramped space. Sticklers for authenticity may object that the rubber of the front of the speeder makes it look slightly different than the rest of the craft, but for fans looking for a sturdy, detailed Star Wars vehicle with a unique twist, this fits the bill nicely. --David Stoesz

Best vehicle for Zam Wessel!
This vehicle is one of the most emblematic of the prequel star wars, comes completely sealed and new, box and product in perfect condition. The space of the pilot is very wide and enters Zam without any problem. I recommend it to any collector!

A Must Buy!
Fantastic looking Prequel Era vehicle. Color, detail and likeness are top notch. What make this really cool is that the side panel's can pop off and create the crashing effect from the movie. You can pop them back into place with a button that's also on the sides and panels easily snap back. Gave it 4 stars because Figures are a bit cumbersome to fit in the ship's cockpit. But all in all a great addition to any collection. Very happy and purchased this from's Brian's Toys.

Green, the color of a stunned admirer
After last year's dismal quality standards for so many of the Star Wars toys, I was quite frightened by the concept of this year's go-around. Still, I wanted many of the things being offered, especially those dealing with the bounty hunters, and was eager to buy despite my fears. Well, buying seems to be the right approach this time around, for it seems that the complaints so many of us had were taken to heart. Many of the toys released (such as Slave 1 and many of the figures, like the Tuscan Raider) are of a higher quality than I had anticipated, and this toy, too, is no exception to that rule. Now, the first thing I have to remark on is the fact that the box does it no justice. This seems to be a reoccurring theme, too, because Slave 1 also suffers from this packaging "defect." I say this for two reason:1) You can't properly view the inside from the position the vehicle is in. The inner working of the vehicle are actually quite nice, plus the positioning of the seat/gears is remarkable when you finally maneuver Wessel into position. There are pedals and whatnot inside just waiting for her, detailed to the point that the price was surprising. Still, you wouldn't no that without opening the box.2) You don't get to view the vehicle in its entirety (despite the feeling that you are doing so.), and it seems somewhat shorter, not to mention uglier, than it actually is. (Luckily Amazon has a good picture of the toy out of the box and assembled.) If you look closely at the picture, you'll notice the two fins sticking out the back, lengthening this baby up and making it look quite good. Also, you are seeing the "damaged" blow away parts already off the vehicle in the box, so you're actually viewing its innards and not the outer shell. This takes away from the streamlined look, and the over-all feel it should have. It seems that someone didn't think this one completely through. Also, I'd like to say that the "blow apart" effect is good, and it seems like a fairly durable concept as well. If you look closely, you'll see that the front is actually a rubber product (that has a good plastic look), letting you effectively smash it over and over again. I was always a fan of the speeder bike effect, until it gave out, that is, and think this will last a bit longer. Still, only time will tell for certain. Anyhow, its a good product and an equally good price. I'm happy, and I'm not easy to please.

Zam go BOOM BOOM!
When I saw the design of this speeder in the toy fair coverage I knew immediately that I had to own it. It looks great and resembles a "mermaid's pouch" you'd find on the beach. The design of the toy itself is very clever and innovative. It features a "crash" action. If you literally ram the front of the toy in to a hard object, the front of the ship crumples inward and the two panels pop off. There's an interesting mechanism involved. The two front parts of the speeder have a rubber skin around them that matches very well with the rest of the ship. Spring loaded skeleton inside the rubber restores the shape of the ship at the touch of a button, then simply snap the panels back on for more play. Very cool! The only issue I have with the toy is that the first Zam Wessel (preview) figure only fits in the vehicle very awkwardly. I reccommend getting the second Zam Wessel figure if you want a better match for the vehicle (since she features articulated legs) .

Zam Wesell's Speeder (a sarge506dotcom review):
Just got this toy today. I had not planned on buying it, but after seeing it in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, I realized how cool it was.The product seems to be very durable, and the "crash" effect is very unique (frankly, I've never seen anything like it). The front is made of a high-quality painted rubberish-plastic, with the top panels being made of hard plastic. When you hit the front very hard, the front crunches in, sending the top panels flying off, and revealing the machinery inside. Then, you can uncrunch them by pressing a button on the back and do it all over again. Very cool. The paint on the rubber part doesn't seem to rub off (as of yet) on mine, so that's definitely a good thing if you have younger siblings like me.The front of the cockpit opens, so you can insert a figure to pilot it. The inside of the cockpit is pretty dang cool, with movable flight controls, little buttons, a view screen, and foot pedals. However some larger/taller figures may not fit inside. Also, be warned: only the basic Attack of the Clones Zam Wesell ...seems to fit inside, while the Attack of the Clones "Preview" version seems a bit more difficult to cram inside the tiny cockpit.Overall: excellent toy. I'm sure younger kids would get a kick out of playing with this, and maybe even some big ones (like me).
