So, the first box I got, something went wrong and there were only 5 bags and there was flour everywhere inside the large box. I let amazon know and they just shipped me a new box of 6 bags, the correct number of bags of flour.I’ve made sourdough with it and it smells like honey as it ferments, really yummy and earthy. It does mess with the gluten structure so you have to be careful with the percentage used in bread doughs. But I like the flavor. I’ve also tried sifting the bran out a bit and that seems to help.I think it’s pretty freshly mulled because I sense a higher level of enzyme activity in doughs with a high percentage of this flour. So you need to watch the rise carefully.

This a one of the better spelt flowers I’ve tried. Fine in texture and great taste with slightly nuttier flavor than wheat flower. It’s a great test for people who think they are gluten intolerant. Many are truly Fructan intolerant and if they can have spelt which has gluten, it helps identify that the true problem is Fructan. Also, my seasonal allergies have improved significantly by switching to spelt and cutting out dairy. Worth a try for anyone with seasonal allergies and presumed gluten sensitivity. DO NOT try if you have Celiac or a true gluten allergy as spelt does contain gluten.

There is nothing wrong with the flour. Tastes good and is healthy. I enjoyed eating this flour. I will say that the expiration is around a year from the date I received it for 6 packages, although I do expect this to be the case for lost of places you buy from. There is nothing wrong with that fact and I would highly recommend these. The taste, like mentioned, is great and I believe the price is very hard to beat.

I like baking spelt bread. It's hard to find spelt flour locally, so I was glad to be able to order it from Amazon. I am completely happy with the quality of this flour.

This spelt flour makes very good bread that lasts a few days.It's tasty with a full wholemeal flavor that gives a nice crustI made a large loaf and on another occasion, I split the dough to make 2 smaller loaves that worked great.

I use this spelt flour for baking bread. I do use it in combination with other flour because it has a low ability to create gluten, but it provides a smooth texture to my bread.

Good flavor for bread. I would buy this again.

I love this flour, it is a great and healthy addition to my baking. Once you try it you will be a forever customer. The price is a huge savings over the grocery store.
