A beautiful locket! The front is a shiny, high gloss finish. Which was a surprise because, from the pictures, I would have thought that it would be a matte finish. But regardless, it looks great! The back is a brushed matte finish. The design is just beautiful, and the sparse openings provided by the slender tree (branch?) design may actually help extend the life of the oil, as it would slow down the evaporation. Different from those wide-open designs you usually see.The center of the locket, without the outer bevel, is exactly the size of a quarter.The locket is quite heavy. Surprisingly so. Looking at it, you would think that it is a solid gold piece. Maybe 14 to 18 karats. But, of course, it's not. It's gold-plated steel. The hinge on the locket doesn't open very far, but far enough to easily install or remove the diffusion disks.The box the product came in is quite lovely as well. Very suitable for gifting. Very high-tone, elegant. Black matte finish with gold leaf design on top. The diffusion discs are incorporated nicely. Nice quality too.The chain is a sturdy, heavy chain, but I don't like where it attaches to the pendant. I would have much preferred just a straight all-around chain. Not in love with the circle and clip design at all. It seems like it could be weak. I will probably switch it out for something better.Diffusion seems to work fine. I put a few drops of Mandarin essential oil on the pad and I can definitely smell it. So, that works!I took off one star because of the chain and because the front of the locket is already a bit scuffed and I just opened the box a few minutes ago. Not sure if it got scuffed in transit or when I was handling it. But, it's a little disappointing, all the same. Especially since I didn't handle it roughly at all.If it wears out quickly, or stains, or develops any other problems, I will update. But, for now, I am pretty happy with this lovely locket.

Beautiful locket with large opening for diffusing scent. Love the size of pads, that I can find 24mm refills on amazon.The sunflower deco is smooth, therefore no sharp edges. Chain is smooth.2 strong magnets hold the locket securely closed, so no chance of it opening up & losing the pad.The chain is interesting in that it comes together in the front (as shown on product picture). Ya can unclip the locket if needed. With the connections in the front like this, the locket doesn't slide on the chain thus everything stays front & centered.The reason this is 4 star instead of 5 is because my only concern with the round piece the chain ends connect to & the locket clips on. That 3 point connection piece can twist open easily with the fingers. I'll be putting something stronger in place (or ya can use super glue so that piece doesn't open up).

This set was perfect for me, the gold is holding well even months later, and holding it up to my nose to inhale my favorite perfume has become my habit of perfect bliss moments just for me.Don’t go cheap and buy a version of the scent lockets that is plated in something not silver or gold, the usage of perfume on these not to meantion being handled, comes off very easily and this locket has been perfect at holding!

I've boufht this in gold and have had it for a week now. So far so good. Seems to be a great little diffuser necklace. The chain's links are larger than I prefer, so I'm putting it on my own real gold chain, but the length of the chain is great. I have three diffuser necklaces and I like that the gold looks real on this one. The locket it's self is a little heavy, but to me that means better quality. I will say I was very impressed that the seller contacted me before it arrived and after just to make it arrived in time and that I was happy with it.

It's nice and all but the chain popped in less then two weeks.I have yet to find a replacement chain because the loop is oddly shaped to do so.I have to resort to a rope which takes away from the locket. It would be nice to see a better chain and maybe a brushed metal option as the gold is too shiny for my liking.

Broke the first day I wore it, returned it. I wore it for maybe 6 hours before it broke. Needs to have heavier duty connector because the charm part is quite heavy

Easy to open and close and refill with oil drops on the inserts.... A little difficult to put on though, esp, for older adults ...love how it goes with every outfit and does fine in the shower with normal soap and water. Which is good, because once I got it on, I am loathe to take it off!!

This is a beautiful necklace. I wear it with lavender essential oil and it really helps calm me throughout my stressful day. It goes with basically all of my outfits, and the branch design is really beautiful in person. It is a bit shinier than I thought it would be, but it's just so pretty that I don't mind at all.
