I have to say that I'm really glad that they're moving away from plastics, but the first stainless steel mug I bought at the convenience store really bugged me. It felt weird, and seemed to make my coffee taste weird.I do, however like Contigo products generally, so thought I'd give it a try.I really like this mug! The lid fits snugly, and while the mechanism is a bit stiff at first, it just takes a few days to get used to (it sort of works backwards from what I was used to). The sleek design fits easily into any cup holder, and even sits upright in my purse! I highly recommend this mug for anyone who carries their drinks around - even at home it's kept me from spilling, while maintaining the temperature of my drinks.I usually rinse it out after each use, but it does go into the dishwasher if I want a more thorough cleaning.

This has been the BEST TRAVEL MUG I've EVER gotten.... It not only holds the heat for a record 12hrs(!) but it's completely and undeniable LEAK-RESISTANT!!! I can fill this travel mug all the way with hot coffee, screw the lid on tight; and the REAL MAGIC ✨ IS IN THE DRINKING SEAL-- cause once that's snapped shut, you can LITERALLY TURN IT UPSIDE DOWN, FULL OF HOT COFFEE AND SHAKE IT REPEATEDLY (UPSIDE DOWN) AND NOTHING, NOT A DROP COMES OUT!!!I am BEYOND IMPRESSED with this product.... The design is flawless, easy to grab (even with my little kid-size hands) and seals so securely that I would be perfectly COMFORTABLE and CONFIDENT with filling it up, sealing it, and literally TOSSING it in my purse/bag/coat pocket.The lid DOES take some time and care to clean -- HOWEVER,. I have been buying the Contigo Byron for several years now because the cover's closure mechanism wears out over time (2.5 years of daily usage for me) and Contigo doesn't sell replacement covers hence you have to buy the whole travel mug. But I do like the fact that it doesn't leak if it is knockedover and this model has the rubber grip which helps when transporting hot liquids. As far as their statement about keeping hot liquids hot for 6 hours, I find my coffee is luke warm by the 3rd hour no matter if it is summer or winter. This unit does fit nicely in vehicle cup holder and I like using the 16 ounce size. I will continue buying this brand and model in the future and am overall very satisfied with this product.

It fits in the cup holder, the lid is absolutely easy to use, completely spill proof, keeps my drink warm for hours. What isn't to love? Heck, it's even easy to clean.The reason I like this better than the last one is the bottom seems more robust. I work outside so dropping things is a fact of life. I think this one will hold up a bit better in the years to come.

So far, they don't drip or leak. Went in a long drive and toured some beach towns and when we got back in the car the coffee was still warm. That was just shy of 6 hours. Not scalding hot but still hot enough to enjoy the coffee. Have not tried cold drinks yet. Great value 2 for 1 deal.

I've been using the Contigo Byron SnapSeal 2.0 Travel Mug for 1.5 years, and it’s been extremely great. It keeps my coffee hot for at least 10 hours, is completely leak-proof, and the design is easy to hold and handle. A must-have for coffee lovers on the go!
