I'm a loyal FireAngel customer and these smoke alarms maintain the brand's excellent reputation. The quality and reliability are second to none, which is exactly what you want from a safety device. Installation is straightforward and they're up and running quickly. The optical sensor technology works perfectly - sensitive enough to detect real smoke threats but smart enough to ignore false alarms like vaping, which is a huge advantage over cheaper detectors. The alarm tone strikes the perfect balance - loud enough to wake you and alert the household, but not so overwhelming that it's painful. There's no annoying constant beeping during normal operation either. The 10-year battery life is fantastic - set and forget peace of mind. The white finish looks clean and unobtrusive on the ceiling. Pro tip: pair these with magnetic mounting pads (as mentioned in my other reviews) for incredibly easy installation without drilling. These are premium smoke alarms that justify the price with superior performance and reliability. When it comes to fire safety, I wouldn't trust anything else. Highly recommended for anyone serious about home safety.

Works well easy to fit, good quality and value for money.

So far so good. They seem to be working fine. Easy to install, they look ok, are not too obvious or oversized. they do react when I burn the toast (which is more often than it should be) so that gives me some peace of mind.

This replaced a FireAngel SO-601 smoke alarm. It fits onto the old baseplate after a little time spent aligning the lugs and the alarm was activated as soon as it was fitted to the old baseplate. Great item, good price.

I purchased the twin pack and in less than a year both of them gave up the ghost. I contacted Fireangel who sent me replacements. I thought this was great customer service but naturally dissatisfied that the alarms had broken so soon, when they had a supposed 10 year guarantee. One of the replacements has now developed a fault. Unfortunately the chirping sound it gave off really distressed our dog. Luckily my husband was home and able to remove the alarm. I don’t know what would have happened if the dog had been here alone. He was so anxious he was virtually climbing the walls. The worrying fact with the first faulty pair was one alarm chirped once and died. Again we were here to witness this and on testing the alarm found it no longer worked. If we had missed that audible noise we may not have tested the alarm for some time and not realised it wasn’t working. This could have had fatal consequences. I don’t believe these alarms can be trusted with saving someone’s life in the event of a fire. I wouldn’t have give any stars but couldn’t leave a review without checking one of them!

Compact smoke alarms with built in batteries. Easy to install and have a light indicator. Worth paying for.
