After reading through several reviews, I carefully selected this model for my deer problem. And it works great. I have this installed for 2 months now and I am happy with the product. It has very good motion detection. In fact you may need to position it in a way so it doesn't over detect motion of the leaves and such.It has rained a few times drenching rain. And the detector has been fine.I give 5 stars.The only product suggestion I have is probably a multi-setting feature on motion detection.

It works like described but the sound is very faint and deer aren’t the least bit scared of it.

Purchased this item to stop deer from eating my shrubs and plants. Placed the item in the sunlight to charge the batteries as instructed. Assembled the spike and pushed into the ground the next day. Extremely easy to set up from out of the box to into the ground to beginusing. No sign of deer eating any shrubs or plans. Works great. I recommend purchasing this product.

I have Hosta leaves survive the Deers first summer in many years. It really creates discomfort zone. So, it does not work on the deer fast. The damn thing still bites off flowers that stick out above leaves. I wish it would have real loud piercing sound to scare the deer off immediately

Bought this because the birds kept getting in my blue berry bushes. Now I watch the birds swoop in then it goes off and they high tail it out of there. Great buy!!

I didn’t buy this item, but my neighbor across the street did. It beeps multiple times per minute during the day (even if there is nothing moving in front of it). I can’t go outside without it beeping. It goes off when my dog is walking in my yard. It goes off when I walk by the window facing their yard. & yes, I can hear it from inside the house! ALLL THEE TIIIME! The bushes it was meant to keep critters from have been eaten by critters anyway.Has good battery life because the dumb thing has been in the yard for so long and hasn’t stopped beeping since assembly.Does not repel any animals.If you’re looking to annoy all your neighbors tho, this is the product for you. But I hope you like deer/stray cats/ground hogs because they’re unbothered by this.

3 months: We put this next to our tomato / squash / herb garden, and have seen a near-absence of animal damage to the fruit -- eggplant and tomatoes in particular. Color us satisfied.
