Great information
Small and expensive but filled with useful information. My daughter read everything on his website to prepare for her AFROTC application process but this book really helped to prepare her for the interview and understand the scoring

Great book; great investment
I purchased this and the companion book on Army ROTC Scholarships. Both books are updated for the current year. Being a retired Army Officer, LTC Kirkland's book helped me understand what the Air Force considers in its selection process and how it awards its ROTC scholarships. Consider purchasing two copies: one for the candidate and one for the parents. I started marking up sections and my wife and son told me to wait until they had had a chance to read it. Not only does it tell you what the process is, but gives you the "insider's perspective" as to why the process is done in the way it is, which helps both the candidate and the parents understand and prepare accordingly.Great book; great investment.

Excellent, Comprehensive Guide – a Must Have!!!
This is a very well written, carefully laid out and easy to read guide for anyone who is interested in the AFROTC program and HSSP. We do not have any military background or related knowledge, and this book was extremely helpful and indispensable. Sure, there are information available on youtube, websites or discussion boards, but none of them are as concise, relevant and comprehensive, all in one source. Being very research savvy, I was able to accumulate a lot of good information/knowledge online, but I still find this book to be a MUST have for the ROTC/HSSP process. Highly, highly recommended reference material! Thank you LTC Kirkland for your insightful knowledge and advice!

$240,000 Book
$240,000. That's a $60,000 tuition bill x 4 years, paid in full if you win a Type I AFROTC scholarship. Not kidding. As Alec Baldwin says in Glengary Glenn Ross, "Do I have your attention?"If you're even thinking of applying to AFROTC this is a MUST HAVE. The earlier you get it, the better as some of the advice pays off better if you have a couple years to execute your strategy. But, if you get it 6 months before application, it can still be worth $100k+My experience with Lt Col Kirkland of ROTC consulting and the advice in the book was first rate. tips for Air ForceROTC1) That's the "easiest" of all the ROTC applications (no essay, less forms)2) Only 6% get 1st class scholarship (full tuition to any private school)3) It's portable, you can go before the AFROTC Oct board, get a decision, andtake the coupon anywhere4) It's the most "interview intensive" of all the academies/rotcscholarships. Meaning, the interview is weighted about 40%.So, 80% of the help this book gives is coaching for that interview and huge tips on how to seek help in practicing.I have never heard of something that was "worth its weight in gold" when it was literally true. This book in solid gold would be less than $20,000. It's potentially worth 12 times that. And yes, our family followed the advice (over a 3 year plan) sought help with practicing for the interview - 5+ hours of practice interviews, and got that Type I.

This book was very helpful!
I applied for the AFROTC scholarship this year. I stumbled upon this book when searching for tips about the entire application process. I bought it and read it cover to cover. There was so much information that was new to me! From eligibility to interview prep, this book covers it all. I was able to submit my application online and go into the interview feeling confident and well-prepared. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is thinking about ROTC.

Fantastic and Unique Guide, Cannot Beat the Price for the Info It Privides
Colonel Kirkland’s book on the Air Force ROTC High School Scholarship program is excellent. It is unique in that it has information found no where else, specifically including the exact point breakout in how the Air Force computes scores to award the scholarship. It is “information dense” and well worth the cost of the book. If you read this I guarantee it will pay for itself many times over and it might literally change your life. 5/5

Lt Col Kirkland’s books, webinars, calculators are all worth it!
Between the ROTC and guide, the USAFA admission book, and attending Lt Col Kirkland’s webinars my student has got all ROTC scholarships and LOAs to all academies applied to. Lt Col Kirkland even responded to one off question emails about the CFA calculator etc. Thank you for the great work you do!

Great Book👍
Great job, Colonel Kirkland! I am frankly amazed with the amount of detail and truly unique information you can find in this book. For example, the book shows you how many points the Air Force ROTC awards to SAT and ACT scores and GPA and how much it counts towards the overall score and selection. You can’t find this anywhere else which makes it well worth the price here.
