this was so easy to assemble. the only thing to assemble is the tracks! they just snap together! my little grandson has a blast with it and it comes with a train car as well, so your little one can ride with their toys or stuffed animal! it goes one mph. completely safe, and so fun to watch him have fun! just remember to charge it 24 hours before the first time. and also you should get some purified water for the steam engine! oh and it's really not headache loud! just absolutely adorable!!!

This is the 2nd one of these I ordered. I ordered one 6 years ago and same quality as this one. This train is very durable and easy to connect/disconnect tract for storage. Great for children ages 2-5. The train goes both forward and backwards. My little ones love how you can put real water in to make steam. The caboose can be detached or can put toys/stuffed animals in it for fun riding around.

He loves this train all day till it dies

My grandson loves the train, well, for that matter, he loves ALL trains. I would have given 5 stars but the train lurches when the lever is pulled back to go forward. That "lurch" makes the train do a small wheelie. If the train is in a curve, the wheels jump the track - ever time. On the straight tracks not so much a problem but can still happen. We will have to wait for this first battery to die and hang it from the front so the nose stays down - OR - only allow the train to go backwards. Maybe they could, in the future, make it have a "soft" start.

This is awesome. I always wanted this as a kid and during the holidays why not ride around the x mas tree around all your presents? It's a no brainer. It is a bit loud so you can hear the motor running which in my case was great. It was loud enough to annoy my sister's peace and quiet. I'm such a good uncle. You can actually use it without the tracks as well so it's dual purpose and dual annoyance. That's for all the year's bullying me as a kid. Karma.

Easy to assemble. Sturdy for our 1 1/2 yr old and fun enough for our 6 mos old! The value of this toy is unbelievable!! Cutest toy and it whistles, smoke and choo choo! A lot of bang for your buck. Came quickly great gift!!

I read reviews before purchasing, and it does have a small jerk when you turn it forward or backwards, so I just assist my 3 yr old when turning it on. Other than that, it’s easy to ride and fun for hours! Charged it 24hrs the first time before use. The packaging said charge for 18hrs but also had another note that said 24hrs which was confusing. We’ve been charging it at least 8 hours at night after use during the day. The steam works after about a minute and continues to work for quite awhile when the buttons are pressed. We only had trouble with derailing on our rug, but hardwood floor has had zero issues. I would recommend, but also expect to assist a bit to get them used to the start.

Very easy to assemble and charge battery and put tracks together. This was a Christmas present that was long wanted and now absolutely loved one of the best things I ever bought. It is so cute. It has their actual light and steam comes out hours and hours of enjoyment.

It is unfortunately quite loud. It does not steer, just goes in a straight line without the tracks... pretty disappointed in that. Compared to the peg perego santa fe, it is more budget friendly though. The steam only worked the first few times sadly.Besides not being able to steer, we really like the train and my 20 mth old loves it. Was scared of the sound the first few times, but rides it as much as we allow now
