Best betta food!!
Fed this food for first time today. I’ve never seen him eat so enthusiastically. The ingredients are high quality. Have tried other brands but he wouldn’t eat them. So happy I found this. Pellets are perfect size. Pellets float quite well but one did start to sink but didn’t matter he dove after it!

Better then Omega One Betta Buffet pellets and as good as New Life Spectrum Betta Formula
Update 10/12/17: I have been feeding this food every other day in combination with another food and my bettas have been very active, colorful, curious, alert, and had no issues of bloat. This food is one of the best, I have done a lot of research trying to find good food for my fishes and here is why this food in my opinion is good. First Omega One Betta Buffet pellets, I read reviews and reviews of others swearing by this food so I took a look at the ingredients the 2 things that were a big red flag is that Omega One food has BHT and BHA preservatives which have been known to promote tumor growth. I have no idea why Omega One is praised so highly I've read so many bad things about these preservatives and rather not risk it. So Omega One was out, then I took a look at New Life Spectrum. Now New Life Spectrum is a good food, one of the best that is until the company decided to change it. The food is no longer the right size for a betta which is the problem, it doesn't matter how good the food is if the fish can't eat it so until this issue is fixed I cannot recommend New Life Spectrum Betta Formula but only the betta formula. Some say to feed live, raw, or frozen but there are several risk that comes with those types of foods like parasites it can also be too rich and unbalanced to use as a daily diet for bettas that are not show or breeders. On top of that it can be more time consuming, expensive, and make a mess causing the tank to become polluted. Remember these are not wild fish these are domesticated so I rather use a pellet type food as a main diet and bloodworms as a once a week treat. Northfin not only has good ingredients compared to others but the size is perfect for any betta even my younger female betta can eat these no problem and she is about a little over an inch long. I've also been feeding this food without soaking and have not had any bloat problems with my fishes. I've had no issues with this food sinking before my bettas can eat it but I feed my bettas with a long stick and gently place the pellets in the water this also train my bettas to follow the stick in case I need to catch them in a cup to remove them from their tanks this way I never need to net them.

Great food for the family pet
When we got our daughter a betta fish for her birthday, he was in pretty bad shape and looked to be on his last leg (daughter wanted to give it a nice home and try to make it better). We tried different foods and brands, but the little guy would barely touch those. After some research and reading recommendations from betta fish sites, this food made it to the top of the list. I ordered it, and the betta fish LOVED the food. He has also made a miraculous comeback. His color came back and it was a bright, vivid blue with red on the tips of his fins, and his fins have now tripled in size from the little stubs they were. This is the only food he will eat. It floats well, doesn't expand much at all when it hits the water, and is a good size pellet. I have recommended this food to a family member who just got two bettas and those bettas love it also. Price may be a little more than other foods, but so far this pack has lasted us quite a few months. It's also good quality so I don't mind the little extra expense. Will continue getting this.

Do not float well at all
The ingredients are premium. Pellet size is very good (small) and easy to for my fish to eat. They do sink fast if fish touches them without eating it right away. Only floats due to surface tension and is a pain to have to remove pellet that sank. There is not a lot of binding agents that help it to float. The zip lock pouch will help keep it fresh longer, but opening is small and makes it hard to get out pellets. I pour out small amounts into another container to make it easier to use. I alternate with Tetra small pellets that he also likes. They float well and the container is much easier to use. So North Fin product is harder to use but seems to have better ingredients than Tetra Betta pellets. So,1 star off for poor floating.

Great pellet food option
Northhfin "Betta Bits" is one of the best options out there for a processed pellet food. It has minimal fillers and lots of good ingredients. The pellets are nice and small for bettas of any size (except fry, obviously). These pellets tend to float for a bit and then sink, giving the fish a decent amount of time to see and grab them before sinking. I have a lot of bettas and this is one of the only two pellet foods I will use in a pinch (the other is New Life Spectrum) - but their primary diet consists of raw/frozen brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, and bloodworms. Raw/frozen is obviously a much better diet for them overall, but for when you must use a pellet food, this one is a good choice!

Great food for Bettas
Great product, my Betta readily devours these and the formulation of the food is very healthy for my fish. Excellent value and I highly recommend it.

Quality food
This food has quality ingredients and keeps all 3 of my betta fish healthy. The size of the pellet is perfect for betta fish of almost any size. I have a smaller female as well as a "king" betta and the pellets work well for both of them.I also like that it doesn't come in a huge container since betta fish don't go through food very quickly. The pellets float, and while they can sink if knocked into, even my betta that misses half the time on the first strike can still get most of them.
