Great video and sensitivity for the price with some corners cut probably to meet the price point
This camera produced amazing night and day video at 1920x1080. It came with a stand that, once assembled, allowed me to set the camera on the ground and point it at whatever angle I liked. I set the video time to 20 seconds whenever it was triggered and was happy. I can imagine that most people will need to try different settings to get things set in a way that works for them. So, don't expect the results to be exactly what you want immediately. While I can't prove it, I felt the camera triggered at any time an animal got in front of it. Sometimes they would come up and sniff the camera, so I know the focal length works either close or at about 20 feet at least and probably more. The nut designed to attach the adjustable framework (not a tripod, but it does the same job) to the round platform came loose very easily time-and-again. You will want to use threadlocker and pliers or a socket wrench to torque it down and make it stay. The controls all feel a little cheap. My biggest concern is the latch for the waterproof door covering the video screen. It hasn't broken in two days' use, but I think it's a matter of time. Once it breaks, I might use a zip tie when I want the door closed tight.I did NOT try strapping it to a tree. The strap is about a meter long, so the tree would need to be reasonably skinny. You could buy a bigger strap. The biggest complaint is the batteries. It's a little tricky to get the tray to eject. Press hard on the release button. The tray is spring loaded. It takes 8 batteries. Over night, a half hour of video was recorded in a 12 hour period. The battery meter shows the batteries are half gone. If I were going to use it a lot, I would look into investing in 16 rechargeable AA batteries and a charger for 8 batteries at a time. You can use an AC adapter (not included), but I'm not excited about running a cord out to the unit. When I bought it, I was concerned it was limited to a 32gb memory card. That gives about an hour of recording time at 1920x1080. Since it only records "action," that's enough for a night. The whole hour would probably drain the batteries completely. The unit plugs directly into a computer with the included USB cable. The USB connector is two generations old. So, no usb C or micro usb. This one is mini usb. If you don't have a bunch of old usb phone cables laying around, don't lose this one.The most annoying part of the device is that the built-in video screen is very low resolution. It's enough to confirm that, yes, there is an animal (or your own legs) in the picture. But, the date/time stamp is a complete blur. If you owned a digital camera in the 90s with a 1-inch screen, you maybe have an idea of what this one is like.Overall, for the price, this device is a great buy and really does a good job. Corner-cutting on the controls, screen and latch as well as the lack of included batteries and memory card gives me the idea that they worked hard to produce a device with a higher level of video quality and sensitivity at a sub $100 price point.

One Year Warranty non existant
I have had night animal cameras before and knew how they worked, so set this one up. First few nights it filled the card by taking images every minute when a small tree about 10ft moved in the wind. I reset the settings. The first clue of issues was when the 8 batteries drained in just 4 weeks. I contacted them and the answer was to change settings and get a solar backup. I did as they suggested regarding settings again and the batteries were dead in just 3 days with no images taken. I asked for a refund because this was not working in a way a wanted. They would be happy to do that so long as I PAID for the shipping back to them - estimated $80!!!!!! This is not what I call a warranty and Amazon customer support agreed with me.After reading my review, the company contacted me and did send a new camera out. It has been out about 3 months now, right next to another camera (different company) and the issue of draining batteries seems to have been fixed. The 2 cameras have both been out for about 3months and take the same images so I promised to update my review.Kate

Update for the replacement TC50 Camera I recently received for the previous faulty one.
Although the camera that I originally purchased was faulty (probably or possibly damaged in transit), the replacement was well packaged and arrived safely. This camera is in perfect working order.Once I had inserted the 8 x AA batteries and the Memory card (purchased separately), I found it was a fairly easy process to set up. After scanning the QR code on the Amazon product page and downloading the 'Hunting Cam Pro' APP to my iPhone, the Wi-Fi connected straight away with no problem. I found it was much easier to alter the various camera settings from the much larger screen on my iPhone. I made a short test video on the camera from the controls featured in the APP on my phone and it worked perfectly. In the camera settings there is a facility to update the camera software/firmware if one ever becomes available. There is also a setting where you can name/number your camera. The resulting photographs and video footage are crisp and clear and are far superior to the various older Trail Cameras that I own. With the camera screen being on the fixed body of the camera means that it takes the guesswork out of the positioning of the camera. Obviously, with the camera having built-in Wi-Fi I can view and download any resulting footage to my phone, which is handy if the camera is high up on a tree for example.Although the camera is waterproof/dustproof, I have fashioned a rudimentary cover (as seen in the photos) which is mainly to protect the camera lens from bird and squirrel droppings. After a couple of nights testing and determining the best final position for the camera, I connected a 6v DC power adapter which obviously saves having to buy and replace batteries.Having had some of my previous footage of the nocturnal wildlife happening around the area where I live broadcast on the BBC, I feel sure that they will be more than happy in the future with the quality of the videos and photos obtained from this camera. The short video I've included shows the camera in night vision mode over one evening and the colour photograph shows the same spot during daylight hours.I have two UsoGood TC30 Wildlife Cameras which I previously purchased In December 2019 and they have been in use, working perfectly every single day/night since then, so I know how good they can be. I will definitely be looking to eventually replace these with the updated TC50 Wildlife Cameras. The TC50 Camera itself is quality built with advanced features that I wasn't expecting for the reasonable price. I have owned much more expensive cameras with less features than this one. On this basis, I am more than happy to give this camera my recommendation.

Corrosion
This camera has only been in use for just over a year and it is supposed to be waterproof. The pictures show how false that claim is. The batteries were replaced after drying out the camera but despite being new they are only showing a minimum level of charge on the display, so contacts have obviously been ruined, as have 8 new batteries.. Deeply disappointed. After 5 months I have finally received a helpful response from the seller and now have a replacement camera. It is rated as IP66 and is supposed therefore to be dust proof and resistant to powerful jets of water. However, the seller advises that though the camera has a waterproof function it should not be used in a humid environment for a long time. That doesn't sound like IP66. The camera is intended to be left out all the time and I shall be applying vaseline around the housing on this one.

Outperformed All Expectations
Bought this camera as I really liked the sound of setting up the camera and checking captures via WiFi. I already have the non-WiFi version (TC30), and have captured some excellent video of wildlife with it. So with a higher resolution and WiFi functionality I was hoping this would be a step up, and I have to say, I wasn't disappointed.Initial thoughts while un-boxing was that the camera felt sturdy and of decent quality. The door and viewer area is different to the TC30, with just the bottom third of the body hinging open to reveal the screen, buttons, ports etc. The clip is satisfyingly firm and the door seems to give excellent protection from the elements – something that has been severely tested (and confirmed) in recent days!Initial set-up was frustrating and I wasn't able to get my phone to recognise the camera, despite the phone being connected to its hotspot. Nothing I did would work and I began to think I'd made a mistake buying this camera. I emailed the support address at UsoGood, not expecting much joy, but the next day I had a reply explaining their App was having issues and giving me a link to an alternative. After installing this new app everything connected and worked first time.I was blown away by the ease of set-up and use, all settings of the camera can be configured via the app, live views via the phone, viewing and downloading photos and video, all without having to touch the camera. This will be invaluable when I go away shortly, being able to set the camera up in a tree and still check it regularly without having to bring it down every day or two.The video I've shot in the garden isn't particularly exciting – my Weimaraner patrolling and the occasional blackbird pecking on the lawn, but the video quality is excellent, even to the point where the wife commented on the difference between the two cameras.Battery life so far has been excellent. It's been on constantly for about a week, shot around 150 15 second video clips during the day and night (night vision is excellent by the way), had WiFi turned on regularly for checking and it's only just dropped one bar of battery.Very impressed, probably more than I expected to be if I'm honest.
