A well packaged Calligraphy Set - the flat nibs leave much desired...
The packaging is excellent. The presentation is excellent. The vintage flex nib and the manga/comic nib are excellent. What isn't excellent is the flat nibs, it grabs the paper and isn't smooth and polished for the price range. You can find better quality nibs for cheap from other brands/company. The manga/comic nib holder already has a deep gash/breakage that's not expected from this price band. I hope to find a replacement bottle of ink for regular use after this one runs empty. A slight more fit and finish with the nibs and this could be easily suggested to beginners and hobbyists. Currently, all I can say is "caveat emptor".

Not worth it if you want to do hand lettering
I bought this because it was a complete set and inexpensive. But as they say you get what you paid for. I had never used a dip pen before, so your mileage may vary. The kit comes with a 30ml bottle of black calligraphy ink, which is nice. It has a two plastic nib holders, one straight and one oblique. It comes with 6 nibs: 1 extrafine flex nib and 5 italic nibs from 0.7 to 2.5mm.The holders are horrible, the slot for the nibs are just circular slits in plastic. This would not be an issue but the tolerances are not great. I had great difficulty sliding the nibs all the way till they grip firmly. The nibs are not able to retain ink. The italics are horrible, they can't even complete a single stroke. The flex nib is slightly better, but even they could not regulate the ink. When you dip, blobs of ink pool on the paper and they can't complete even two characters. I finally gave in and bought a Brause set(it cost me double for a wooden holder and 2 nibs). The experience was much better. The holders have cross metal slits which make inserting nibs a breeze. The nibs also have large breather holes to hold and regulate ink.If you are serious about hand lettering, please buy a better set.
