Francesca Woodman and the Kantian Sublime 1st Edition

I first read this book at the San Francisco public library. After reading it through I purchased a copy through Amazon. I have a bunch to say about this book and it deserved an in depth thoughtful review, however for now.. If you are interested in the subject and themes of the book you will get something out of it and I would highly recommend it. It is racked full of gorgeous language and philosophical twists. Rich verbage and fascinating theory. Is doesn't seem to have a story to tell per say or a solid standpoint, but more of a fluid discussion, or a literary critique. It flows and has great movement. I found it really got my mind rolling in general and was utterly thought provoking. I have a similar sensation from the works of Maurice Blanchot 'the gaze of orpheus' or some of the other European critiques from another time. This book as related to Francesca Woodman is quite unique at this time, so in general if you want to dive into the rich world of Woodman, Kant, 'the gaze', 'the sublime' etc here is your book. It certainly wont be for everyone, and wasn't at all intended to be so I suspect. If I could say One thing only about it, I would say; It got my mind worked up and dreaming. Thats the real point! Anyway, lovely piece of work here and I look forward to the authors recent publication "Francesca Woodman's Dark Gaze: The Diazotypes and Other Late Works ".. (p.s.
