Q: How do they sound in a door?

I have a 96 s10 and the hardware in my door rattles with it installed. So, in my experience, they sound terrible in the doors. I did put them in a box and they sound amazing for a pair of 6.5s

Yes, and they are the best replacement subs as long as you also upgrade the amp to the match up7bmw. They are good on factory amp but with the increased power, they are stellar.I had mine running 24hz to 86 hz with 30 db/octave high pass and 24 db/octave low pass xovers on the match 7. Absolutely accurate, no cone distortion, just absolutely transparent and unlocalizable bass.

Q: are these a single 2 ohm voice coil

Hi I purchased the pair of sws 6.5x which are single 4 ohms coil the sws 8.are also has a single voice coil, but at 2 ohms each. You can double check at amazons web site. Worth the upgrade if you really like to feel the music.
