Best blender for baby food
I am so glad I got this blender! After using poor quality blenders like ninja and magic bullet, I’ve decided that it’s time for a good , powerful blender. I’ve reviewed a lot of high- end blenders like vitamix or blendtec , which are probably great but their prices are quite high. And then Cuisinart hurricane caught my eye and I’ve decided to give it a try. So, this blender is VERY powerful! It blends perfect green smoothies for my baby. Even kale and chia seeds are dissolved! It’s on a loud side though. But other than that , I am completely happy with my purchase! For the price-quality ratio this blender is the best value !

Great mixer that does it all
The white version of this CBT-2000W was $200 vs $289 grey. It's the same otherwise. It will make anything a Vitamix 7500 will. Smoothies are smooth as you would expect from a professional blender. It takes 45 seconds. Fresh or frozen is fine even greens will be liquefied and no chunks or bits. The key is the right amount of liquid. Use a recipe from the book to get the hang of it. After that you can just guess and get it right. Not following a recipe may damage the pitcher! If there is not enough liquid the blades will spin without mixing and cause the bearing to get hot. This can melt the O-ring at the base. Then it will leak. Could also be from a fresh bearing not set in yet. You should run a batch of water for a few minutes before using it. The O-Ring is nothing special and can be bought at a hardware store. I had one on hand already. Fixed the leak and ready to go.Some people say it's loud. Yes it is. I doubt any louder than other mixers in this class. It's not the motor noise. Remove the pitcher and run it and you find that it has a smooth sound that's not even loud at the highest speed. The pitcher amplifies the noise and ice is the loudest. Not a big deal for 45 seconds. I measured 85db with a smart phone while making a fresh fruit smoothie.Yes, it can make soup from raw carrots, tomatoes and celery. After a couple minutes the slurry will start to heat. No bits left, even seeds are destroyed. However, I would rather finish it off on the stove. But to grind up fresh tomatoes for sauce or soup, this is the fastest way. No peeling needed. It's made in China. Bummer, but almost everything is. Vitamix is made in Cleveland Oh, but I didn't want to spend $529 for a blender! I have a Cuisinart food processor that won't die. I think it's almost 20 years old. It's big and heavy just like this mixer. Quality looks great, really no complaints. Plan on leaving it set out on the counter so you use it more. The controls are really cool and very easy to use. The screen shows you what is selected and counts down with a timer. The Variable speed works great too. The clean function works as well. Just rinse after. You can also create your own programs.

Will it blend? No. No it won't. Profoundly Disappointed
I wanted to like this blender. After thoroughly researching the blender market, I unfortunately settled on this one. I like to experiment in the kitchen and wanted a blender that could tear through anything I threw at it. The high wattage of this blender and Cusinart’s brand led me to believe this would fit the bill.Boy was I wrong. This blender is incredibly frustrating to use. I’m not entirely sure where the problem is but I suspect it is the software or ASIC that controls the blender’s speed. The blender will automatically rev itself up, regardless of the speed setting, in an attempt to…? I’m not quite sure, honestly. One thing I am sure of is the result:Air Bubbles! The automatic speed adjustment and (possibly?) the design of the blades throws the contents of the blender upwards forming an air bubble around the blades. This effectively stops anything from being blended until you pry off the lid, get a spatula (no plunger included!), and push the contents back down. Repeat this process about 20 to 30 times and you can imagine why I said this thing is frustrating to use.The only solution I have found for this problem is to add more liquid. The ONLY viscosity this blender seems to like is smoothie viscosity. But to blend runny smoothies you don’t need a high-end blender, a $30 one will do just fine.

Great first two years
This blender was forceful and easy to clean. Loved it! But after two years of daily use to make my smoothie, it started to spew oil or grease in the bottom area. Now it also leaks liquid into the mechanism. I called to report problems, and they said it would take 4-6 weeks to return repaired blender. Couldn’t say how much it would cost. This was a pricey blender, so I would expect no charge.

We love our Cuisinart blender. This blender is POWERFUL and has really performed better than expected. My wife has Crohn's Disease and this blender is necessary for fruits and vegetables and it is amazing. Amazing shakes, smoothies, herbs and spice chopper. You will not regret the purchase, nor the price. It does everything our friend’s Vitamix does, but we didn’t shell out $1,500

Function and fashion
This blender is very sturdy and is easy to clean and use. Dedicated programs for smoothies, cleaning, ice etc are really useful. I use it several times a week for smoothies and look forward to experimenting with other options

Powerful and Intelligent Blender
It's very powerful and intelligent. The only thing I missed was the glass jaw. It's made of plastic. I could not find the glass option.
