The tape measure that gets passed down thru the ages.
This tape-measure is THE Tape-Measure. Solid build that could probably take a bullet. This is generational in that these Stanley tape-measure get passed down from parent to child. Perfect size, not to big but perfect for the hand. Good weight and the Locking feature has been aces for decades. Simple design that that leads to a user friendly measuring tool.

Easy to use
This is my favorite tape measure. It's wide enough that the tape doesn't bend. Numbers are easy to ready. Operation is smooth. The lock button works perfectly.

Good price.
Same quality Stanley tape measure, but at a very reasonable price. Every twenty years or so, these things actually do need to be replaced.

Easy to use & stays open when I need it.
It's easy to use & stays open & in place when I need it to. I wish it was a bit thinner. Kind of hard to hold on to.

Takes a beating but keeps on working
This was a replacement for the exact same tape that had to be 35-40 years old. I have dropped it a zillion times over the years and it was really broken up and taped together. I finally threw the old one away and ordered the new one. I hope it works as well as the original one

High quality
I was previously using a cheap tape measure and finally realized you get what you pay for. Everything about this one seems durable and reliable. It’s also got a nice weight to it, doesn’t feel cheap at all.

I bought this to replace an identical model that was getting worn out. I work in construction and these tape measures are on my belt every day, and used dozens of times a day. My previous tape lasted at least 5 years. I have been using this model for at least 25 years with no complaints. Forget the rest. This is the one you need. I should just buy a few more in case they ever stop making them.

Our favorite tape measure, easy to read, sturdy, the last one we had lasted 5 years, beating the next type we have by about 3 years. Fits into a pouch well, solid feel.
