Great product, looks nice!
Got this version because the brass was back-ordered all the way to next year! So I got this one since a renovation wont wait for a year. Worked just fine, no issues with installation ( according to my contractor) and looks perfect on the Kohler tub we have ...not that they gave us options for this products style but still... very "classic/modern look". I haven't used it long enough to know how the quality is but will be updating if anything worth mentioning happens!

excellent look and function - challenging install
love the look of the over flow and the tub stopper is an excellent design. the over flow is not the easiest that i have ever installed. if you are installing this i would recommend purchasing a 1 1/2 inch rubber connector/adapter (4 inches long). i had to cut the pipe from the over flow to the T and install it to allow the pipes to line up for installation. it gives you flexibility to make the connection to existing plumbing drainpipes. also you had better be good at gluing and fitting the pipes together quickly because it is a one shot deal. make sure to dry fit before gluing. the tub (archer) and it's accompanying overflow seem to be best suiting for a new construction install. i gutted my bathroom space more or less and without easy access to the space behind the tub, it would have been nearly impossible. not as user friendly as slip nut connectors which allow for some variance in drain, T, and overflow positioning. good materials, but not smooth to work with. obviously geared to the professional plumber, new home construction purchaser. and of course those of us do it your selfers who won't stop until we get right.

Terrible.
The most disturbing thing about this drain (which is meant to accompany certain Kohler tubs) is that it's very hard to see how Kohler doesn't knowingly sell a bad piece. This drain just does not work -- when installed properly, and "working" properly, it just doesn't fit. Basically, when you push the drain down, it's supposed to lock in a down position and clog the drain so you can fill the tub with water. It doesn't clog the drain because it doesn't sit flush with the drain hole in the floor of the tub. If you adjust it so that it would clog the drain, you don't have enough room to actually "click" the drain in the lower, "clog" position. I took the piece apart, cleaned it thoroughly (in case there was some grout clogging it from when the tub and bath tiles were installed), reinstalled it, took it out again several times, adjusted it several times...it just does not fit. So there's nothing wrong with the part itself--it's not broken. Kohler just knowingly sells a piece that doesn't fit. To make things worse, I've since asked friends who have remodeled bathrooms with Kohler tubs and they've had the exact same issue. I'd never installed a new tub, and after this experience, I'll never purchase from Kohler again.

We bought this back in Aug but because of construction delays it just got installed by our contractor recently. We haven’t even moved into our place yet it looks like the surface of the hardware is already damaged since it’s already rusted. Our contractor recommended us to contact the vendor to get it replaced because if it’ll only get worse over time. I reached to Amazon and it gave me 3 options: 1) return the item to get a refund and pay a restocking fee; 2) return the item to get it replaced and pay a restocking fee; 3) contact the manufacturer directly. I understand that it has passed the 1 month return period but none of this is acceptable. For construction materials, a return period of 1 month is simply not enough. This is why Home Depot has a 3 month return policy. In addition, I don’t understand why the item needs to be returned for us to get a replacement. Are they looking to sell a defective item to someone else? If not, why is there a restocking fee? Is a picture not enough proof that it’s defective? Of course, I’ll be reaching out to Kohler directly at this point but I shouldn’t have too. Amazon as the vendor should take responsibility for the items being sold on its platform. I shouldn’t have to go out of ways to make things easier for Amazon. Having been a Prime member for 11 years and have spent who knows how much money on Amazon. Its customer service really deteriorated over the years. For anyone looking for construction materials, I’d recommend Home Depot instead.
