If you want a great collection of 5 (yes, count 'em, five!) great Otis Redding CDs, this is the way to go. They cover the latter part of his tragically cut short, stellar career. Included are two exciting and poignant live CDs (Live In Europe, and In Person in L.A.), as well as the exciting Love Man CD.Otis Redding was a magical force of nature and an amazing soul singer. If you love great music, you want this collection! And at roughly $4.00 per CD, you can't beat the price. (It might sound like I work for the company but I don't. I just love his music.)

Add this 5-CD set along to the Original Album Series Volume 1, and you have an unbeatable (and almost complete) set of all the original LPs by one of the greatest soul singers of all time. Both Vol 1 and Vol 2 are a must. It's great to have the original album notes on the back covers despite needing a magnifying bar to read them.The Original Album Series has been a delight for gathering meaningful collections of some really great artists' work. The two for Redding are superb.

I got volume one. Great. This one also contains work after his passing, which is what I wanted. One of the best of his generation, a true 60's powerhouse, and the version definition of Atlantic Soul. A true master, and this collection assembles great material. A must buy for a fan. A++++

Ottis brought the Blues ,Rock and Roll together with R and B . These albums are treasures not to be missed if you love music .

Like Volume 1, this original album series has 5 lps, LIVE IN EUROPE, DOCK OF THE BAY, LIVE AT THE WHISKEY A GO-GO,LOVE MAN, and TELL THE TRUTH. Again, this is a good deal for what you are getting and the opportunity to own Otis' music legacy to play over and over again. A very good buy.John Walsh

Rip that plastic off this gem and get to listening to one of the most heart felt, powerful singers that have ever graced this earth. You can literally feel the words coming out of the speaker. Enough said.

The five albums included in this set shows the growth of the band, their musical arrangements growing more intricate and exciting. I have listened to this boxed set repeatedly and thoroughly enjoy each listening. Sound levels are consistent so you don't have to constantly be changing your volume levels. I'd recommend it to everyone.

Great collection of albums. Good sound

This is a nice addition if you are an uncommitted Otis fan as otherwise you would already own them. I just wanted to own this set as I already owned Vol 1. and wanted to complete the set even though I have all of them in my collection anyway! I must accept that I am simply daft when it comes to Otis Redding.This December (2017) will mark the 50th anniversary of his death and I can think of no better time than now to buy this collection, I doubt if anybody will be disappointed.

Great set. Not as experimental as the early stuff, but has the 80s-Chicago mega-hits on there (if you're OK with Peter Cetera's voice!).A bit of a con with the inclusion of the Greatest Hits package, as I would have thought most purchasers of this set would already own those tunes, having purchased Vol 1...as i did, it seems a waste of a CD...

Although I already possessed 3 of the 5 albums in the set I was looking for the Love Man album which I could not find at a reasonable price in isolation. In addition I did not have the recording of Otis live in Europe. While I had some of the Love Man album tracks I decided to buy this set for both economic and 'completist' reasons and am not disappointed. Significantly the Live at the Whiskey album included is a pale shadow of the Live at the Whiskey double released in 2012.but you can never have enough of Otis.

The second of these five album bargain packs, and for me worth the price of admission for the "In Person at the Whiskey a Go-Go" particularly and the "Live in Europe" albums. The three posthumous albums in the pack contain some fine material, though it is disappointing that perhaps the best of them - The Immortal ... - isn't included.
