Knox - Smart Wireless Wi-Fi Automatic Dog and Cat Feeder with Two Way Video & Audio

In many ways this device does many more things than i need or others may need. it often disconnects from the wifi network and even has shut off my bluetooth on my phone which has never happend before and disconnects my smart watch. However it still works when disconnected as far as feeding and playing the video. Heres what i needed it for i am ver y ill and may go at any time i wanted a device that would ensure my cat got his food but also that he could see a different video of me each time it feed him so that he woulndt miss me too much while im gone big problem is it only plays one video and one short video only when ffeding soo he would just see the same short video over and over each time not so good also when it is connected it seems to tie up my internet now the wi fi is so you can use the remote video which i will never use since i dont need that but it doens give tyou option of not using wifi but only bluetooth to run the local functions but all in all it sort of does what i want and nothing else comes closer and they are more expensive another note when it does play video it only pplays low rez small than screen size mesage videos not full screen hi rez ones

It worked great for a few months and gave me a piece of mind. At one point a month ago it wouldnt connect. Then it started working again and today I couldnt even log in! I uninstalled the app so I could reinstall it and maybe it would clear up the problem. I now see the app is discontinued. It is no longer there! Now I am on the phone with Google Play because there is no website to contact the makers of this product. This is beyond unprofessional and a complete ripoff! Please do not buy! Save your money for a better product.

This is amazing. My cats still aren't really sure about it... but it was a Christmas Present to myself so that I could still see them while we are out of town for the Holidays. Yes, I am that CRAZY about my cats! We let them free-feed... so we are using the food dispenser for treats and it works great. Just note that if you have a hidden wifi for your house.... it won't connect. We had to change our wifi setup to get it connected.

1- USB POWER PACK that goes in the BASE of the unit as a backup battery (so the power feeder functions during power outages as described in step two of the assembly instructions) is missing. Update: got a second unit and it still missing the power pack. Amazon is putting a hold on this unit per their customer service.2- The Pet Feeder will freeze if the power flicker without the POWER PACK installed. This is a huge problem as your pet will go hungry and your vacation can be sploiled with worries.3- You CAN'T substitute the USB POWER PACK with third party power bank, as they have a power bottom themselves that require you to manually turn it on ( which defeats the purpose to have a backup power), not to mention that autonomy, reliability warranty and SAFETY when using batteries that are not recommandes by the manufacturer. So MAKE SURE your unit includes the USB POWER PACK Battery. Update: tired Amazon power bank, and it doesn't work. The unit freeze completely when power flickers. This is a very serious issue.4- The audio/video remote interaction with the pet does not work. No instruction on the manual on how to setup or open ports on the router for the pet feeder. It works when your phone is connected to local network that the feeder is connected to, but that defeats the purpose of using it while remote, via cell data or on different wireless network. Update: This seems to be an issue with IOS devices with T-mobile and carrier that switched to IPv6, the iPhone doesn't seem to know how to handle IPv6 to IPv4 traffic. Works on Samsung Galaxy S7.5- No phone support on knoxgear and this product is not anywhere on their website.6- I don't like the 3D paw design on the plate, it makes it hard for the pet to reach the food.7- it doesn't have profile for cats, you will have to settle in using a small dog profile instead8- cylinder food dispenser jams every third rotation, even when there is no food, and all you hear is clicking, and no food comes out. Update: this seem to be defective unit. Got a new unit and it works.9-you have to register with an account, the host maybe oveaseas, with no laws of privacy to protect you.Attached are pictures of:a- double sided instruction manual pageb- power pack placement in the base of the unitc- unit powered upd- unit frozen after unplugging and plugging pack the power simulating power flickering.

The interaction feature only works when my galaxy s7 is connected to the same network, I have tried my tablet and my son's phone with the same issue. There are times that it will randomly just keep filling the tray with food. I have a great dane puppy that requires very close monitoring of his food intake which is why I go this in first place. I have tried looking up troubleshooting or a help # or even an email and can find nothing.Totally a waste of money.

Bought this a month in advance to make sure it worked well before I went on vacation. It worked great other than a constant beeping that support was no help with, which I established was due to minor food jams. It still produced enough food. First half of my vacation was fine. But then it wouldn’t let me do the video chat for my last 3 days. As I was hitting the reward button, it said successful so I assumed my cat was fed. Except tonight I came home to my cat not having any food at all and the dispenser not working. Do not waste your money.UPDATE: Got this item a month before we went on vacation and 4 month later will not allow me to log into the app nor does it feed her. Complete waste of money.

Seems like someone thought of this idea when they were high or something and never actually finished their thinking when they woke up. It is totally half backed and totally useless.

Well, I really wanted to love this product but the only time I can see video of my pet is when I’m at home which completely defeats the purpose. If I’m away from the house it just spins then gives a “video timeout” message. Disappointed.
