One of the best pans Ive ever used with a serious flaw
First off, this is one of the best pans Ive ever had.Yes its non-stick and yes non-stick pans lose this ability after awhile but this one stays fairly non stick many months down the road. Its light but not extremely. Definitely a feather compared to a cast iron pan of its size. It heats evenly and fast. It has quite a large surface, and deep enough to avoid grease splash. I can cook just about anything with minimum addition of oil quickly and with very little clean up.The ONE flaw that everyone has mentioned = the handle. It gets HOT !!I'm not sure if it's because of the heat being conducted, but the heat from underneath (that encompasses the entire bottom of the pan - again great evenness of heating) seems to hit the base of the handle as well.Even with silicon heating covers for it... even with me trying to put some aluminum foil underneath the silicon cover.. it still gets very warm. You WILL burn your hand with no handle cover , so buying one with this pan is a must. That being said, I love this pan and might buy another. It just has a strange design flaw where I with they would make some deflector under the handle.

Awesome Pan for Stovetop Chefs
Great pan. Heats evenly and quickly, nonstick, and can handle a pan full of steak. I have also cooked bacon, eggs, & ground turkey/beef with no problem at all. I like that the edge is pretty high, so you don't get as much spillage, and you can fit more food at once. Really easy to clean, just a paper towel or two with some water.

Huge Skillet!
This skillet is amazing. It's huge and it holds a ton of food. Nothing sticks to it, and it's really easy to clean. I like how large it is as well since cooking oil doesn't really get a chance to jump out the top.The one thing I'd watch out for is that you really can't touch any part of this skillet while you're cooking. You'll need a pretty strong oven mitt just to touch the handle. The pan is heavy enough that it won't move while you're scooping food out, but the handle gets really, really hot. I don't think this is much of a problem, but it's definitely worth noting if you're a big fan of adjusting your pans.Overall this is a great skillet. I highly recommend it. I've used it many times already and it still looks brand new.

Good for indoor cooking. NOT for campfire use.
Roomy 12 inch size is great for indoor frying. The ceramic cooking surface still has easy cleanup after a year of daily use, but is less slick than when new. Silicone or wood utensils recommended for surface protection. I use margarine or grapeseed oil to reduce sticking. When browning is desired, a seasoned cast iron skillet produces superior results.Manufacturer recommends it for campfire use. The short, highly conductive aluminum handle is a burn hazard on a campfire. Aluminum is susceptible to damage by high campfire temperatures. Choose instead a steel or cast iron skillet with a long handle.

Little Griddle Skillet - Poorly Designed For Safety & Usage, Other Griddle Products Likely To Be Better
This is a promising product, and in many ways it will likely meet the needs of some. But there are a few design issues with this product that create serious concerns. I warn you that if you do not have a lot of experience with skillet cooking this is probably the wrong skillet to start out with. For starters, right inside the package they include instructions and warnings. They tell you right up front that you have to use a pot holder or similar product when grabbing the handle. They don't necessarily tell you that the handle gets so hot that even for stove top cooking it will be dangerous indeed. Now if you are an experienced cook, you can definitely be aware of this. The problem is that anybody using a skillet this big is usually cooking for multiple people. It's natural for people to just try to grab the handle. Good luck trying to get kids or relatives to stay out of the kitchen, or to not grab the handle without a pot holder.Top rated temperature for this product is also just above 500 degrees. Anybody who has ever done skillet cooking over an open fire knows it gets way hotter than that. More importantly, with an open fire you have to grab the handle to adjust and re-position it. Do you really want your pot holder catching fire? Do you know enough about campfire cooking to avoid the hottest parts of the fire or position this skillet in such a way that you will be within the temperature range they advise? Now I know enough that I only used this on my indoor stove, and the handle still got dangerously hot. Even with an oven mitt I could still feel the heat. There is no way I would ever take this to a campsite. There are advantages to this product. This is MUCH lighter than a similar cast-iron skillet. Even though I think the thought of tossing food in this is ludicrous, at least it's possible with this product. But most cast iron skillets I have used do not get nearly as hot on the handle as this did. So only a very experienced cook should ever consider trying that, and most good cooks would just plan so that maneuver was unnecessary with this skillet. One other thing that was unique about this pan is the seasoning. Because this is a ceramic coating, I really wonder if it needs to be seasoned at all. In any event, seasoning cast iron is a long process that can often require high heat. With this product they want you to "season" it with oil over medium heat. They warn of baking the oil onto the coating, which is hard to remove and does not aid in cooking. Really, the process they describe is more akin to "priming" than seasoning if you ask me.In any case, I followed the instructions and the results seemed OK in terms of the actual food. This is not totally uniform in terms of heat. Every pan will have a hot spot, as much as they try to design them so they don't. The ceramic coating does mimic the benefits of cast-iron cooking, but it's really not the same thing. I really believe this product would have been better without the integrated handle. If they make this with a 2 piece handle they can ensure it doesn't get nearly as hot. Another warning they give you is to use wood or synthetic utensils and to not use metal. If you like to cook with metal spatulas and such, you will have to adjust to use this product.CONCLUSIONThis same company has 2 other griddle products made from the same materials. I have not tried those first hand, but based on the design I would expect them to be better. That's because they are designed to be stationary on your cooktop and there are no large handles to stick out inviting people to grab them. But as for this specific skillet, I think it's a pass. Get yourself a good cast iron skillet if that's what you want, or a ceramic skillet with a 2-piece handle instead.

The best skillet!!!
We purchases our skillet in a local store for a lightweight camping skillet. Nonstick is an understatement. I've burned food in it and have no problem clean it with just some water a quick wipe. On a normal camping morning I've cooked sausage, hashbrowns and eggs in the same skillet and just wiped it out clean after. The also have a griddle that is as amazing!! Pictures are after being wiped off with a damp paper towel
