If you are travelling to Brazil, this is theexact plug that you need. I would advise maybe buy 2 or more pieces so you can charge more than one item at a time. Its just easier really. It does get confusing knowing the exact plug type to buy, but these ones worked perfectly for me. I actually bought this one and another plug type for Brazil. I wasnt sure about the exact plug type i needed, but it turns out that this particular one is the only one that worked for me. It would have been an utter disaster if i didnt get them. The adapter itself is as described: looks cute, easy to use, built simply, and not heavy at all. Was just right for me, as i didnt want anything adding to my luggage kg weight. Overall, Worked perfectly and was just excellent for my trip. I loved.

UK gear uses 240V and Brazil use anything from 100 to 250 -so even if your gear doesn't match, it will only be underpowered instead of blowing up.This worked fine for my phone/camera chargers (which are dual 110/240V) but I found the 2-pin Euro style holes more common in Northern Brazil (Maranhao State) than the 3 pins on this adapter. Hotels/Airports had 3. Some houses had both.Tip.. Avoid sockets hanging out of the wall, especially when you're just out of the shower!(You know how it is in some places.)

This adapter worked really well in Ipanema near Rio de Janeiro. A life saver and I only wished I had bought several.
