I thought that I would only like the chocolate banana version
These MILKFUL lactation bars are so delicious! I thought that I would only like the chocolate banana version, but since they were so good, I decided to try both the maple walnut (even though I don't like walnuts) and the blueberry coconut. The maple walnut bars are fantastic and are my favorite. The bars are not only very tasty, but I did not an increase in my milk supply initially and now the supply is steady and plentiful. These bars are a bit high in calorie count/bar, however, I find that if I watch my calorie intake and eat a bar a day, it does the trick for me. By the way, Dina and Maggie in customer service are terrific. There was a problem with some of my orders and they rectified the issue promptly and without any fuss. Thanks again for a fantastic lactation bar and snack for us nursing mothers! This morning I pumped 11 oz. Next post, I will include a picture of both the bars and breast milk.

Expensive but effective
Pros: These things WORK like no other cookie or bar I’ve ever bought! They don’t taste bad or herb-yBeautiful packagingCons:Very expensiveThey don’t have much of a taste at allThe crumble is REALBottom line:If money is not a concern and you don’t mind having to mouth vacuum your lactation bar off whatever surface (including from inside the package) it deigns to disintegrate upon, these ingredients are very effective. Like, multiple extra ounces a day effective. If you like to have money for other food and don’t enjoy doing tongue yoga to eat a snack, be like me and buy the ingredients in the bars and bake them into oatmeal chocolate chip cookies.

If you could buy breastmilk....
If a bowl of oatmeal gives a little boost, these bars give a HUGE one! They're soft and tasty. Now, while we're talking about flavor, I want to bring everybody down to reality a little bit. The only reason why you're eating this is because you're trying to boost your milk supply. You're eating this because it's full of simple, healthy ingredients that are all good milk-producing stuff. It's not going to taste like Aunt Martha's lemon bars, or Granny's chocolate chip cookies, because it's not packed with the insane amounts of sugar and butter that those kind of things are filled with. But out of all the ones I've tried so far, I like the taste of this one the most. (though not a fan of the banana chocolate flavor)I also want to leave a warning that since there's yeast in them, shipping during the really hot summer months might activate the yeast and cause them to be a little "yeasty", but I've only had that happen with ONE BAR out of 3 packages so far.I think they do a great job of boosting my supply when I start to dip, and I've noticed that as long as I drink my water and keep my calorie intake up like I'm supposed to, I really don't need to eat one every single day. Do give them a shot! I find them worth the money (unless you're going to spend an afternoon baking your own cookies).

Delicious results
Yum yum and yum. Really truly these are super delicious, which is a big perk. I was recommended these by a friend who had a preemie and she said they were great, she wasn't wrong. I started eating these 4 day POst Partum as my milk hadn't really come in and within 2 days I saw results. See pic for tracking my oz pumped.

Love these bars!
I am not really a "bar person". The only bars I like and eat are bobos oat bars and those are basically like a bowl of oatmeal and a huge meal replacement so I typically can't eat a whole one and leave half eaten bobos everywhere. My husband loves bars- we have a drawer full of various health bars in our house and since we are always on the go, out hiking, biking or skiing they often become meals and I often forcibly choke them down for calories and convenience.Anyway when looking for bars or something I could stash in the glove compartment, diaper bag, gym bag etc that would also give my milk supply a boost I stumbled upon milkful. I love them!! I had an allergic reaction to many of theMilk boosting supplements out there- the pills and teas don't work for me. Milkful bars are tasty, have great texture, are the perfect size and I love the packaging. They feel especially like a "treat" and and if I don't have one every day I actually notice a drop in the fat content and volume of my after morning feed/ morning pump session. I can't say difinitivly they have increased my supply as I didn't really need an increase but I do need easy, healthy, proper calories on the go to sustain my supply. I find them most convienent mid afternoon when I need something to eat but baby has hit his wall and doesn't want to be put down! Additionally they don't contain many common allergens such as dairy & wheat. I told my husband they weren't good so he doesn't try them, if he does I know my stash will deplete fast! Thank you for making these awesome bars.

My supply has slowly plummeted shortly after going back to ...
My supply has slowly plummeted shortly after going back to work. I was pumping 2-3oz at a time which was not enough for my growing 4 month old..after 2 days of eating 1-2 Milkful bars, I have been pumping up to 7oz at a time! (I also drink Mothers Milk but hadn't noticed a difference). I got the chocolate banana nut flavor which are delicious...looking forward to trying another flavor!

Works but is calorie heavy and sweetened
I feel like these do work but the banana version that I ordered is a whopping 260 calories. At two prescribed bars a day, it takes a huge chunk out of your caloric intake that would leave me so hungry at the end of the day even though i had taken in an appropriate amount of calories. Obviously, nourishing baby is the most important thing, not post pregnancy weight-loss, but I would prefer an unsweetened version with no calories from sugar sources like honey, standard sugar or chocolate. That would give me the results I desire without empty sugar calories that sabotage my journey to a slimmer waistline. To clarify what I meant by the bar "works" my supply replenishes and feels fuller when baby feeds next. Before it felt like I was always empty and barely satisfying baby's appetite. At the end of the day I can also pump and have some milk left over for storage, unlike before.
