Disney’s family friendly attempt to be King Kong
I absolutely loved this movie. Although I liked the original 1949 film, I found the remake a lot better cause I saw it first. The effects are amazing and the gorilla suit was designed by makeup artist Rick Baker who did An American Werewolf in London and the 1976 remake of King Kong. The cast were great, especially Charlize Theron and the late Bill Paxton.

This was a move I haven’t seen in years
My oldest was 3 years old when I saw that movie. So I made it a gift for her for Christmas and she loved it.

Charlize Threon!
The only reason I watch this movie is because Charlize Theron is in it. I know I’m a soft hearted man. But when she does such a good job of acting towards the end of the movie that it brings me to tears as she’s laying there with this oversize gorilla it brought me to tears. This woman can act in every role I’ve seen her perform. I might be her biggest fan, L O L. I wish she had a fan club. I would write a letter asking her to marry me

Remake is great
I absolutely loved this film. When I originally heard there was a remake of this film I was excited to see how they would recreate some of the scenes from the 1949 version. This film exceeded my expectations and have watched it several times since it's release in 1998. I love the way they have enhanced the interaction between Jill and Joe and the different facial expressions created by the special effects. There of course have been a lot of updates made to this one which was to be expected, but surprisingly all of the updates were great.I saw the original version of this film when I was younger and loved it. The original was released in 1949 by RKO pictures. This version is awesome. It follows the same concept as the original, however in the original Joe is put on display much in the same way King Kong was. one other difference is the rescue of the child from the ferris wheel. In the original Joe rescues children from a burning orphanage and as he is climbing down the tree with the last baby the tree falls. This rescue scene was considered as one of the best stop motion sequences in film history. You must see the 1949 version. If you get a chance to see both at the same time do so, I think it would be interesting to compare them both. That is what I plan to do. Okay Amazon see if you can get the 1949 version in Amazon Prime
