- What Makes Our Kyoto Uji Matcha (京都宇治抹茶) Special? Sourced from our farm in Uji, Kyoto, our Ceremonial Grade (Tokujō 特上) matcha is made from young first-harvest green tea leaves, carefully selected exclusively from the prestigious Okumidori cultivar. Our green tea leaves (tencha) are delicately and traditionally stone-milled, an essential process to achieve a vibrant color, balanced flavor, and natural aroma.
- Ceremonial Grade (Tokujō 特上): We classify our matcha into three grades, each crafted for a unique experience. Discover our Superior Ceremonial Grade Matcha, made exclusively from the prestigious Okumidori cultivar. Created by the renowned master Suzuki San, this premium matcha stands out for its smooth texture and naturally sweeter taste compared to other varieties. Shade-grown cultivation preserves L-theanine and increases chlorophyll, resulting in a sweeter and more umami-rich flavor.
- We Want to Help You Enjoy Matcha: Whether in traditional tea, a latte, or any other way, we believe there is no right or wrong way to enjoy it. Our 50g package yields a total of 25 servings. With 2g of matcha, you can prepare a cup of usucha (light tea) or a creamy matcha latte. Unlike coffee, which causes energy spikes, our matcha is rich in L-theanine, an amino acid that balances caffeine, providing sustained energy, focus, and relaxation.
