Marry Me - Blu-ray + DVD + Digital

If you love Jennifer Lopez, you will likely love this movie. Lopez is great as a singer who Falls in love with a regular guy math teacher. Both must figure out how to navigate in each other's world.

Not sure why the bad reviews. It's pretty darn cute and I'm not a huge Owen Wilson fan. 5/5

This movie maybe a little far-fetched but the performance is a good the music is good it's a great fun family film

Movie turned out to be pretty good.

I just got the movie today and watched it, it froze up a few times for a few minutes and started again. Not sure if it is the DVD or my DVD player. I have another DVD that freezes up I got as part of a Marilyn Monroe movie set it is the movie How to marry a millionaire, the rest of the dvd's in the set work fine.

Great to see Maluma. He didn't have that many lines and appeared in about 25% of the film, but was worth watching it just to watch him. I've never seen him speak English before--it was solid. His acting was as expected but still enjoyed watching him onscreen, both "acting" and singing.

Ok. I thought this was going to be another cheesy J-Lo Rom Com. Oh no, no she's doing a movie about getting married after her multiple marriages. I have liked her music and movies, but some of her movies are just pretty cheezy. This one was very cute. It exposes the world of celebrity and how everyone judges and forgets that celebrities are still human beings. Many of them do lots of good things with their money, donate to charity etc. It also exposes how social media can be good, but also harmful to people. I actually have always liked Owen Wilson with his deadpan comedic delivery. And J-Lo just seems to be in love with being in love. The film exposes almost a Hunger Games type show of how we react to celebrities. The way the public wanted Kat to get back with Bastion just because that's all people see on social media, but in reality, there is more to these people than that. Also stick around for the credits, it's very cute showing how people meet in real life and characters in the movie. You just go somewhere, meet someone and you could fall in love . . . or not. I love hearing stories of how people meet. Life is full of lots of things, ups and downs, nothing is ever perfect. Bastion liked his life with all the hangers on, and Kat was looking for something real and deeper. And though J-Lo is wearing a showy body suit in the opening of the movie, I really wish these pop singers could wear more clothes. . ., but I know it gets hot on-stage dancing, so whatever. J-Lo. I don't buy a lot of music, but I do like the "divas" and I have bought some of hers, because they are just good, so I do buy theirs sometimes, and wait for my sister to buy the concert tickets for birthdays. lol. I will have to watch it again with my hubby. He likes chick flicks, and J-Lo, loves Monster-in-Law, when it comes on, too, and we have been married over 20 years.

I love this movie, watched it many times, just your basic boy meets girl, but it has something about it.

The actors I love in a film, I can only describe as the cheesiest one I have ever watched. I find it hard to think that this film was actually released and cannot believe these actors put their heads on the line to be in it! Only redeeming bit was J Lo singing at the end and not the rubbish song ‘marry me’ and which the film was called. Do not waste your time or money, unless everything in your life is based on cheese…….just have toast and butter!

Is it predictable? Yes. Sometimes cheesy? Yes. But sometimes, it's what we need, and this movie is so, so sweet that I find myself craving the return of rom-coms like this.

Letztlich enthält der Film auch eine leichte Kritik an der heutigen Gesellschaft, welche sich nur noch durch die sozialen Medien zu informieren scheint und dort oft ein Leben am wirklichen Leben vorbei lebt. Da ist der Charakter von Owen Wilson schon erfrischend old school und zeigt auf wie es auch noch ohne Smartphone ging! Der komplette Kontrast dazu, gespielt durch den Jennifer Lopez verkörperten Charakter, wird gut dargestellt, indem die Sängerin sogar ihren kompletten Alltag durch einen ständig anwesenden Kameramann filmen lässt. Lopez passt perfekt in die Rolle und macht ihre Sache sehr gut. Auch Owen Wilson spielt den bodenständigen Lehrer und geschiedenen Vater einer Tochter solide, wobei er dann schon fast ein bißchen überspitzt spießig und langweilig rüberkommt. Ein Hauch von Macho-Männlichkeit hätte seinem Charakter auch gut getan. Die Nebencharaktere sind allesamt zwar lustig, in dem Sinne aber auch austauschbar.Der Film vermittelt durchweg eine amüsante Grundstimmung und lässt einen durchaus an vielen Stellen schmunzeln.

Had big expectations with this film given the cast. However, I didn't gel with it and lost interest. This was strange in itself as the rest of the family enjoyed it.
