I Will See You in Heaven (Cat Lover's Edition)

My cat recently passed and This book has been a great comfort to me. It's the perfect answer to my prayers. Tyger was a Ginger Tabby similar to the kitten on the cover. I know he is in God's hands and I will see him again someday in Heaven. ♥️

This book was immensely helpful when I lost my beautiful cat of 14 years, Hopper. Like you, I loved my cat dearly and am having trouble adjusting to life without him. I read this book in one sitting and found it to be comforting during a difficult time. If you are reading this it’s probably because you have lost your special companion too and I am so sorry for your loss. This book will help you realize there is a reason to be hopeful.

I remember in my childhood home a framed cross-stich that read "Cats Are People Too," and as one who grew up with cats, horses, rabbits, and other animals, I believed it. I experienced the love and companionship of animals firsthand, so it was always hard for me to grasp the concept of a Heaven without the souls of the animals who helped raise me. If God gave each animal its own personality, likes, dislikes, and other traits, why would He not give them a soul? This book dispels the theory of soulless animals with direct evidence from the Bible to support its claim. Stories of Noah, Jonah, and St. Francis show us the love God shows his smallest creatures and His plan for them. Friar Jack Wintz even states, "Humans and other creatures are actually meant to help one another reach our common salvation."Now for those who are looking for a book to speak directly to cat owners, this book appears to be the same as the original edition, save for some minor details, such as the cover and chapter decorations. The text encompasses all animals and does not single out cats. The only exception to this is Chapter 12 titled, "The Soul of a Cat." Again, the author mostly encompasses all forms of animals into this conversation.If this book is intended as a gift, there is a presentation page in which the giver can write that it is in remembrance of an animal. At 102 easy pages, this book is a quick and comforting read for those who are mourning their lost animal friends. I bought it for myself to help me mourn my own loss, and it was very helpful.

It was exactly what I needed when we lost our beloved 12 year old Tonkinese cat, Patches.

Written by a Franciscan Friar, this gentle book delivers the message that God loves all creatures and will ensure our beloved pets have a place with us in Heaven. Friar Jack backs up his theories by sharing elements from the life of St. Francis, plus specific Bible verses. Those, especially, are enlightening.I’ve always held my own beliefs about pets and Heaven, and it was encouraging to see those beliefs backed-up with scripture. If you’ve ever lost a pet, this book will touch your soul and offer comfort in knowing you’ll see them again.

This book really helped me during my deep grieving. Our Romeo was the most amazing cat son, he taught my family and his cat siblings so much about love, compassion, and resilience. He was a happy warrior to the end of this life. Our loss was great and our hearts broken. This book, which is so beautifully written, gave me peace in knowing we will see our beloved Romeo again…….In Heaven with our Lord.

Book arrived quickly and in good condition. Book itself is a letdown.It's almost a duplicate of the dog version, but without the photos. Ican't recommend this book.

For those who believe in an afterlife but were unsure as to what happens to our beloved pets - in this case our feline friends, this little book is very comforting and reassuring. Jack Wintz uses Christian scriptures to show God's concern for the animal kingdom as well. Would recommend this book, especially after the loss of a beloved pet.

This book was bought as a gift - but I couldn't help myself, and I browsed through the book - and I am so glad that I got this one - for a good friend who just recently lost a precious cat. I am sure that this book will bring much joy to anyone who reads it, and 'believes' that "some day" we will all meet again!!

Not for me. Very religious without really making a strong argument, other than repeating the same message over again - like the author is trying to convince you rather than providing justification.
