Brinware/Forest & Sea Friends Slip-Resistant Silicone Placemat Set

My toddler loves them!

We have a similar silicone placemat for our son, but since we just had a second son, we decided to get placemats for both boys. This way, they can select which one they want at mealtime and be entertained! These are light and easy to clean, even if you fold it up until you get home!

Approximate size 15" x 11" with rounded corners. Back side is smooth and sticks well to smooth surfaces. Front side with image is a little bit textured so that side doesn't stick to table. My 3 year old is able to peel these off the table; he loves to switch them. We have the Blue/Green Forest & Sea Friends ones also. I am little disappointed that the yellow-orange mat didn't have enough coloring in it because you can see through the mat. Thankful that the red mat does have enough coloring, so that one was not see through. Our other purchase of the blue and green mats also had enough coloring. So I am assuming the yellow-orange was just too light of a color for these thin mats. I take these mats with us when we travel or go out to eat at restaurants so our baby can eat finger food off of it and our toddler has something to distract him. For care, I usually hand wash these flat directly on the counter next to the sink; Dawn dish soap mixed in with wet dish rag and scrub scrub scrub. Food comes off of it easily so it is just a light scrub. Do final rinse in the sink. And then hang dry. For storage, I roll them up and put them in the drawer. Overall, we love this product. The blue & green mats are sold separately from this package. Minus a star for see through coloring on one of the mats.

Just got these and I'm pretty happy. They are slightly smaller than a silicone mat we have (which my son uses). His is a children's mat by Modern Twist and while that one seems to be a better quality silicone, the price is too steep which is why I ordered these. I got these Brinware ones for my 18 month old daughter and I think they will work just fine. The silicone is more sticky than the modern twist one but that can be a good thing. The sticky surface really does allow the placemat to stick to our wood table which is important if you have a child that wants to lift it up. Her plate and bowl also don't slide around which is helpful for a young child. It will even roll back up and stay rolled bc it sticks to itself (the Modern Twist doesn't do that). Despite the stickiness I find it easy to wipe clean. The print is really cute and I think my daughter will enjoy looking at the animals. They came rolled up in a box which was crushed a bit. I suspect it happened in the mail bc it came in a bubble mailer. It's not an issue for me but if it was a gift I would be disappointed

I purchased these placemats so my toddler would have something fun/educational to look at while waiting for her food. I love the colors, the designs, and the slight stickiness of the silicone which prevents bowls/plates from sliding around too much. However, one thing I was originally disappointed with this product was the flexibility/flimsiness—they do not stand upright at all. Because other reviews say they wash theirs in the dishwasher, I expected they would stand upright, but that's not the case. Washing by hand is a pain because there's no resistance so they end up flopping all over the sink. Then, I had the brilliant idea to wash them in the washing machine with my child's bibs. This was the golden ticket for me and changed my opinion of this product. I simply add the soiled bibs to a normal load of my child's laundry and remove the placemats before switching the rest of the clothes to the dryer. I give them an additional rinse under the faucet and let them air dry. I have done this a few times so far and the white graphics show no signs of peeling off. For some that may seem too tedious, but it's working for me and maybe others will find it helpful too.

These were much thinner than I expected but they are durable and roll/fold easily. They clean quickly with hot water and most of the water shakes off. They don't work well for dishwasher cleaning bc they are so flimsy but it takes 30sec to hand wash in sink with sprayer hose.

I received the Brinware placemat set (2) blue/green with ABC's/123's yesterday. I have to admit I was a bit disappointed at first. They are thin as paper and I was expecting something much thicker. I wanted to be able to pick it up and take it to the sink to dump crumbs etc... These are too thin and flimsy to do that with. However the design is very cute and educational and the colors are very bright! My son came down for breakfast and said "We got new placemats?! They're so cool!" They are a hit with the kiddos so that's a huge plus. I like that I can work with both my 1 and 3yr old on their alphabet and numbers. Hopefully in the future they can make them three to four times as thick. That way it will make clean up easier for moms. Either way I'm happy with my purchase and would buy again. I will be recommending to other moms!

Great quality mats. They stick well to our glass covered wood table, clean easily and roll up into very thin rolls without flopping open or requiring an elastic. Perfect for our needs

These things are useless for me. My 18 month old keeps pulling it off the table and I have to hold on to it while she's using it so she doesn't pull the whole thing off!

Quick shipping great little mats, perfect for traveling. Only gave 4/5 as mine got a hole in it from the dishwasher after the first wash.
