It works and it's cheap, do it
Using on a Weatherby Vanguard SSR .30-06 Springfield. It's a tight squeeze to get on even with lube, looks goofy and will certainly get you a question on what it is. It does work well though. This target is 2 shots from myself and two from a buddy. 3 shots are Hornady whitetail 150gr, one shot was with a Hornady Superformance 180gr.Bought one for my cousin to use on his Savage Axis .308 but haven't had a chance to use it yet.

I had to trim the dampener to clear the cocking lever and it handled it like a champ
I'm an airgunner, shooting an Air Arms TX200 Mark III, a gun renowned for its accuracy. Unimpressed, this led me to this product, which trimmed a substantial amount of space in groupings, but not without some work. Because the gun is an underlever cocking type, I had to trim the dampener to clear the cocking lever and it handled it like a champ. Tuning the gun to work with the dampener involved moving the unit on the barrel to find the sweet spot. It had considerable effect when first located low (toward the breech end), but I'd hoped for better and began moving it toward the muzzle, a half inch at a time. The effects of the dampener varied and became much more acute as it reached mid-barrel and much-smaller changes in placement had more profound effect on the shot. As it stands, changing position by mere thousands of an inch alters the pattern from a linear string to round and has shrunk considerably from the more-tolerant breach location. Thankfully, it holds its ground very well and isn't likely to move without concerted effort. Because it damps vibration and is built to work in a wide swath of amplitude, I'm guessing that stacking (or trimming) the dampeners at various points can increase their influence; they're inexpensive enough to allow for trial and error. Good stuff.

Pretty decent
Had an old rifle I acquired from a pawn shop. Couldn’t get it to group and threw one on. It brought 5 shot groups from a little over 3 inches down to about 1.5-1.75 with the same ammo. Not great but certainly an improvement. Looks goofy though

Perfect Fit
Does what it's intended to do. Snug fit and stays in place once installed.

It works. Easy to use. Easy to adjust. Oh, did I say, it works?
Instead of paying a lot of money on barrel tuners which have their place for certain applications, give this a try. There is a fast and easy way to fine your perfect location:Start with groups close to end of barrel, middle and right up against the stock. Check the groups because one if going to be better. Divide up the difference between the middle and the end that showed the best groups. If it's the middle to start, move a bit fore and aft of the middle, checking groups. In short order you will find the sweet spot. There is no magic here, it's science. The biggest improvement is that flyers go away. Flyers are what destroys group size enough that people make up excuses for them. Tune them right out with this.Once in a while you come across something that just works but doesn't cost a lot. This is one of those things. Buy an extra just because you never know and when your friends ask why your groups are so much better, hand them a limb saver and show them how to use it. They will be amazed.

Nice vibration dampener.
The dampener helps improve on accuracy. Cuts barrel whip down. Once it's in place. It stays put.
