Perfect product for anyone who sews
I keep an extra always on hand as I could never want to be without this wonderful product. Its like having a permanent pressing cloth on my iron and makes my bag making so much easier. I use cork and I can even press it when using the Iron Slide.

Easiest Iron Shoe to use.
I really like this iron shoe. Unlike a lot of the heavier plastic/teflon ones, this does not have an overlap at the tip that can snag clothes. The simple tie-on method of attaching is a lot better than the velcro, which you cannot always adjust to fit your iron. Using an iron shoe really helps eliminate shine from woolens and allows you to press silks and snythetics without worry of scorching, burning or sticking.

So and so
Purchased item due to good rating here on amazon. Received item and opened the box and was surprised to see a triangular shaped piece of vinyl type fabric that is heat resistant. It attached to any iron using fabric string. It seems to work okay with all type of fabric without burning especially polyester clothes..I don't know how durable this product and it's life span...I'll keep you updated if I don't forget.

I bought this iron to replace my Rowena which has broken down twice within a 6 month period of time - elimnates a horrible odor. My husband did a bunch of research and this iron came up as the best for quilters so I am giving it a try. I have't used it much but so far I like the light weight of it but it has a strong steam.

Rebirth!
This serves as a “new” sole plate for my 1994 Bernette iron. The iron still works well, whereas other brands give out after a few years. I’m happy this gave my iron a new life.

At that point the product becomes useless.
The fabric around the cord dry rot ...damaged from the heat of the iron... At that point the product becomes useless. In addition, the item that I received was totally different from the image.

Indispensible!
I have used this product for a couple of months now and I love it. Not only does it protect my iron from stray fusible, but, with it on, I don't have to change the temperature settings on my dry iron when I iron delicate synthetics! I do a lot of fusing and no longer have to clean the sole of my iron--ever!

Don't Buy This
I used this for several months. One day, I had yellow drip marks on my tablecloth as I ironed. This shoe had completely distroyed the bottom of my iron! It had created rust in the holes and left the actually once smooth surface of the iron oxidized. Yes, originally the IronSlide did make ironing glide and no fear of burns or sticking, but................... The end result, I have never had an iron do this. I would definitely NOT recommend. This was a $75 Iron about 6 months old when I bought IronSlide. It went in the trash, both the iron and the IronSlide. Never Again.
