Wow. Quiet and powerful fan! Shop no further, this is the one. TL;DR @ bottom
Was in the market for a new tower fan and wanted something a bit quieter but with good flow rate. People swear by Honeywell but my QuietSet has been a piece of trash and tips over if you even look at it wrong. I inherited my Lasko from a roommate and it's a great fan that can really take a beating. Looked at several brands (Dyson TP07, etc. included) and was told the best to look for is something with a DC motor. Dreo is one of few manufacturers (at least on Amazon) that makes a DC-motor tower fan.I primarily use tower fans for sleep but also in my living room if I get warm on the couch. I like the consistent air flow they provide and I generally find them better for cooling my bed and sheets. I also wanted something that you could completely turn the display lights off while sleeping. Some manufacturers have a sleep mode that dims the light but that mode also gradually turns the fan speed down and turns off. Noise isn't a biggie but I wanted something reasonably quieter than my jet-engine Honeywell because I was waking up with literal ear pain from the ruckus. Was deciding between the Dreo Pilot Pro and Pilot Max. I wanted the smart version of the Pilot Max for the Alexa integration but it's not sold on Amazon (only the non-smart version) and is sold out on the Dreo website. Couldn't see the advantage of paying an extra $30 for the Pilot Max over the Pilot Pro so I bought that instead. It's a DC-motor tower fan, 42" height, and good reviews but doesn't seem to have a dimming light button/setting. I thought I'd give it a try anyways and just tape over the display if needed.Setup was very easy. You just snap two pieces together to form the base and you twist it at the base of the tower column and that's it. Plugged the power supply in and turned it on.WOW. At fan speed #5, this thing blows my Honeywell out of the water. Not even close. It even beats my Lasko at delivering a more consistent column of air. Don't expect this thing to be whisper quiet at #5+ but it is a nice improvement over Honeywell QuietSet. Under #5 though this really is very quiet. The remote is very nice as well as it has discrete +/- buttons for fan speeds so you don't have to cycle through each speed until you find the right one.But I was dreading going to sleep that night only to be disappointed by the blinding display... after a few minutes of enjoying the air, I looked up and the lights automatically turn off!!! You don't even have to worry about turning the dumb display lights off! Dreo should update this in the product title/description because I think more people would buy this if they knew the lights auto-dim.So if you want something quiet, especially for your bedroom and sleep time, that dims the light *automatically*, with high flow rate, this is the fan for you. I will be buying a second one for my living room (hopefully the smart Pilot Max) and keeping my Lasko for a backup (it will probably outlive me).TL;DR: Look no further, this fan is a great price and works flawlessly (lights auto-dim completely).

Breezy
Simple to setup & use. Had it going in less than 5 minutes. 12 different speeds to adjust the airflow. Comes with a simple remote control. I like that you can mute the sounds when changing speeds. Can use it to oscillate to cool down entire room or set it to cool off one particular spot.

Wonderfully quiet and well designed. Highly recommended.
Exceptionally quiet on speeds one through five. On speed one and two you don’t even know that it’s on. This is the quietest tower fan I have ever seen. Excellent product and I am very, very pleased with the design, functionality, and the remote. It was very easy to put together, although the base did require some hard snapping and pushing down to put it together. However, once the base was assembled, the top went on easily, and it powered up immediately. I am really highly recommending this tower fan as a perfect companion to a room that needs circulating air. This is my second Dreo product; the other is a humidifier, which works very well in the bedroom. I love this fan and cannot recommend the product more. And when it’s on sale during prime days, it’s a very attractive purchase.

Dreo Pilot Pro S - quiet, powerful cooling
After reading many Dreo fan reviews and watching review videos, I opted for the Dreo Pilot Pro S. So happy with this fan! First, it's tall but has a manageable footprint. I've been able to place it in multiple locations around my small apartment without feeling like I have a giant piece of equipment in the way. Like others have mentioned, it feels a bit wobbly on its stand but is stable in operation. Secondly, it is quiet and dimmable--these were key features in my search. Not only is the fan itself quiet (at top speed it is still undisruptive), but there is the ability to mute the function buttons. Power and air flow are great. My last Honeywell Tower Fan had a high top speed but never felt like the air actually moved far enough. I can place this fan in the hallway outside my open bedroom door and feel the air flow while I'm in bed, even at upper low speed range. The smart app is great--I actually prefer using this on my phone rather than the controls on top, which require scrolling through the settings. It's easy but just extra clicks. The app shows all functions with easy toggle or slider bars. This is my second Dreo fan--I have one of the 13" desk fans, as well as Dreo space heater. Great products.

Great Fan with One Gripe!
I have used the fan one whole day straight non stop. It is a very nice fan, aesthetically pleasing to look at, nice remote, nice features.I'm someone who likes white noise, so much so that I can't sleep without my old ceiling fan which has a slight knock to it from rocking back and forth. It generates just enough air circulation during the mild south Texas winters to keep me comfortable.Alas Summer is here already. South Texas has Three Seasons, Summer (April - October), Winter (December- January), and Winter's sick twin that gives a surprise visit sometimes in November and February. Fall is nonexistent. I digress.Fan running at max speed 9 hits that sweet spot of just enough noise, not enough to be unbearable and moves ample air to keep me cool. 5 and below is hardly audible, 6 and up you can start to hear. The remote is a nice touch. My only problem is the units AC power cable, the connection is very weak, it wobbles in its port, and it bugs the hell out of my OCD. I might send the unit back and get another one, maybe the next model up. I expect power connections to make an audible snap like pop or have the feeling of making that firm connection when inserted. It might just be my unit, but it bugs the hell out of me knowing it's so loose.
