Shocking, sometimes funny and unbeleivable of what happens in our Courts
Thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. A must read if you are even remotely connected to the field of law...It does not matter which branch of law. The book highlights what our courts are doing. Shocked to read how a High Court Judge can concoct facts while pronuncing judgements. It also gives us a glimpse of how the fortunes of the accused as well the differences among judges over the most elemnatary points of law and procedure come to affect the journey of a case. The wheels of justice grind slow but they grind exeedingly fine.

Factful, To the point and lucid.
Arun shourie presents the most important judicial activities involving high profile people and how the accused like Jayalalithaa, Amit Shah and others used their political power to turn around the tables. This book is a must read for every indian because it highlights the pathetic system in which judiciary is thriving and what can be done to improve its condition.

Higher courts in dock
Good read. Nothing new to rave about for one who is aware of the important matters handled by SC or HC of stars. The only addition is authors personal experience of Anita getting bail.

Some part is good but some is boring
The author has taken a very interesting and important topic. He has also done justice to the topic. However, in several parts of the book he cites actual long judgments and laws, which are of no relevance to a layman like myself.

Unbiased analysis
It gives the reader a clear indication on the present system and the importance of having an unbiased judiciary. An unbiased honest review.A very good read except for the strong English language

Must Read - Even if you don’t like Shourie
Not a big fan of Mr Shourie ever since he turned against his own former party. But I must say that this book shows us how inefficient and complicated our judicial system is. It’s a must read.
