I got this for a fledgling DYI electrician, and it falls between my Klein and an a cheap mass market model in my toolbox. This multimeter has a couple of extra options.. Indeed, functions on the right side of the dial aren't likely to be used by a typical electrician, but they're there if needed.I haven't tested all functions and I can't confirm their accuracy, but AC and DC values (V, A, Ω, W, Hz) are well within reason, say, ±2% or less. Thus far it's working nicely and I recommend it.

Original meter arrived as complete defective junk. Did not boot up consistently.and the r esistance mode does not work at all. Continuity mode only occasionally works (it boots indefinitely). when it does, the continuity beep does not sound. This digital MME was purchased specifically for its auto resistance mode….which was DOA. It was immediately returned to Amazon for replacement ($1 fee for return shipping). The replacement meter arrived in two days, working perfectly. The very miniaturized manual had quite poor English, but was usable. The replacement multimeter was affordable,, sensitive, and convenient for everyday use. The auto resistance mode is very handy and exactly what I was hoping for. A very good deal….assuming it lasts better than the original.

The unit feels solidly made and has a nice backlight that you can toggle on and off. I appreciate that it takes (removable) batteries and does work with NiMH rechargeable (so you don't have to keep throwing alkaline or button/coin batteries at it).As far as I can tell, the readings seemed accurate for each measurement type (though my old meter that this replaced was on its way out so I use it for comparison). The leads come with plastic sheathing that make it easier to use for certain applications but can be removed for ones where you want a longer probe.The carrying case is plain but effective.

The multimeter appears to work with decent accuracy. However, if the multimeter is left unused in the “ON” position for more than 30 seconds, it goes into a sleep mode but the digital display continues reads 0.0, which leads you to believe the meter is still active. I wasted several minutes, checking connections on my Golf Cart’s wiring system before I figured out the multimeter was in a sleep mode and not reading the voltage. You have to turn the meter to the off opposition and back on to get a reading. This glitch makes the multimeter extremely difficult to work with . I’d like to ask the manufacturer is this its design or is my multimeter defective.

great meter for the money! ive had quite a few meters and this is one of my favorites for sure.its easy to use,has a lit display and i like the no contact electrical tester too.nice touch.also a good size with a case that holds everything nicely.oh yea ,i just figured out that i can pull the tips off the pointed leads and it has ends that go into receptacles.Great Buy!!

After buying 1 to try, I bought 5 of these last year to give out as Christmas presents. They work good and the capacitance function is handy as are some of the other functions. I looked at a number of similar meters and this one seemed to be the best value.It is good to see they are still selling them a year later and that the "brand" hasn't disappeared the way so many Chinese "ABCFUMERIQAXYZ"-ish brands have here at zamazom.
