how thick are the pads?

I practice yoga via zoom weekly and I could not do it without my Galam Yoga knee pads. On top of the pad there is a circle where the knee goes. I estimate the circle to be almost an inch high from the floor. For me, the knee pads are pretty thick. Let me just say that whenever I am doing my cat/cow poses, I must have my pads. A fellow Yogi told me about these knee pads and I am eternally grateful. I hope this helps!

Suitable for performing glute/ham raise on concrete floor?

I bought last year because I had total knee replacement on both knees couple years ago. Unfortunately, these did not work for me. I tried using them to get off my yoga mat to a standing position. Had to give up all yoga done on floor.

Do they come in other colors? I would like them black.

I do not remember having a choice of colors so I would have to say No, I don't think so but doublecheck to be sure,

Does the textured part on the outside bother anyone's skin?

I would have to say "No" with regard to my personal experience with Galam knee pads. However, typically my knees are covered as I tend to wear long (or ankle length) yoga pants during practice. I will say that I could not practice Yoga without my knee pads as they are the perfect shields.
