Supe heavy easy to move!
Ok I bought two for use as stand alones. I will not get to test how good in the wind until next season but although supe heavy it was easy to set up. Comes with wheels that you screw into the bottom and all threads were metal not plastic. The heels are sturdy and move smoothly and lock/unlock easily with a touch of your toe and maybe a little side swirl to get the lock to peak out from base but all can be done from a standing position. The base comes with a thick insert pole that is screwed into base. The lip of pole has plastic insert(s) which you find to be the way you adjust for the pole size. Take out one or two or even three to make the hole bigger depending on you umbrellas polarize. I bought two One came perfectly fine but one came damaged. The base under side had a big chunk out of it and the base pole had the tip of a screw coming through inside the pole thread so would've been impossible to screw it into base. Up side is they will take it back for FREE down side is it is so HEAVY getting it to UPS not going to be fun. I ordered a new one and bummer for me the price has gone up (not much but up)

I will not be needing to buy another stand, this is the best.
This stand has substantial weight, top shelf quality. I do not have to worry if the wind picks up and I am not at home to close the market umbrella. I bought one of these stands from “Pier One” on sale for half price. I later decided I wanted a second stand and the regular price was $160.00, too much. l looked on Amazon and this one is the same basically and was much less money. The only difference is there is one screw to hold the umbrella in place instead of two. I am happy with this stand. It has a top of the line look and great functionality.

A piece of mine came bent. I sent an email to the seller and they replaced the whole thing. They were true to their word. A pleasure to do business with. Now I have 3 of them and they are heavy and strong. Yet easy to move around. Thank you.

not as stable as other brand that i own that was not available
damaged pole when box was opened. took 2 weeks to receiver replacement part that was to be shipped immediately. then when new part arrived found that the base had a piece of concrete broken out of it. too much trouble to ship for return as it is extremely heavy to re-box and to strap. both parts were damaged by FEDEX GROUND. the item itself is not as stable as another brand that i own but was not available. the pole is only screwed in and not bolted so constanly tightening the pole. the base diameter is smaller this the reason for the stability issue. would return but as stated earlier too much of an issue to re-box and re-strap the item and take somewhere to drop of for shipping

Even better than advertised
High quality product. I am a very senior citizen and was having a problem moving the two umbrellas on my patio around as the sun shifted position. I ordered the Hercules base because of the wheels and now can move my umbrellas easily. I was able to screw the wheels into the base in just a few minutes and the shaft that holds the umbrella pole fit just right. I ordered one base to check it out and was so pleased with it that I then ordered a second one. Now I can enjoy sunny days on the patio, adjusting the positions of the umbrellas with very little effort.

We bought one and liked it so much we bought another one
We bought one and liked it so much we bought another one. Sadly the second one came with the umbrella holder bent. But when we did call the customer care number, they said they would send another one within one week. Just called yesterday. The stand itself holds a heavy umbrella, to give shade around our pool where needed. Is easy moved and doesn't blow over in wind!!.

Great for maneuvering
I live in the desert and have 7 of these. They are great of you like to move your shade around. The price almost doubled since I purchased the original 6. I still love them, though.

Decimated in shipping - so it's basically worthless now
This stand is nearly 100 pounds, and ours was so severely damaged in shipping that it's worthless. Two of the 4 wheels were totally broken off and can't be put on. There is a huge chunk out of the outer cover and the concrete underneath is damaged. There are large scratches other areas on the outer cover too. This item isn't one I'd recommend having shipped for these reasons.
