Summer Brain Quest: Between Grades 5 & 6

I buy these every summer for my three children. They love putting stickers on their map as they complete pages and the outdoor quests are so fun!

Summer BrainQuest is a great and fun way to prepare for the next grade.

We homeschool, but it's important to me that they learn the same things as their peers in case they ever need to enroll in public school, so we use these every summer to fill in any gaps and make sure they are on pace with other kids their age. Most of the time these end up just being a fun review, but there have been a few things that have been new to them. The themes are engaging and keep it fun, and I really love the outdoor adventures they are encouraged to complete. They all love using the stickers to mark their progress and design their own scenes. They rarely complain about doing school work, but they never complain about these books.

I don't really have anything I dislike about brainquest workbooks. I find them to be very helpful, quick, easy (-ish, depending on kiddo), and nicely illustrated. We especially love that it has a map with stickers to show kiddos accomplishments and how much is left to do. At the end kiddo receives a reward and we celebrate the finish. It keeps her from sliding during the summer or other vacations and has very easy to read guidance. Parents can easily follow the directions to help guide kiddos and the answer key is available too for a quick check. Love love love the Summer books especially and wish they had them for higher grade levels. This is a worthwhile investment for your kiddo and I strongly recommend to anyone wanting to ensure a rich education and keep kiddos sharp!

We're only 2 weeks into summer break and my grandson (who doesn't like homework) is thanking me for getting him the "cool workbook" and wants me to order next summers so I don't forget which one it is.It's great!!

I have my son do 2 pages a day during the summer. The stickers and chart are helpful motivators along with the changing subject matter. It really does help to keep him from the summer slide.

My kids love these books. They are easy to use and work great for summer interests.

Very nice workbooks, I have used all the grades workbooks and summer workbooks. Nice way of making kids do more pratice in Maths, Science & English.Only downside is the American history, civics and geography part. The whole world doesnot consist of America and there are several other countries that are worth studying.If it is intented for American kids, should NOT be sold outside of USA.

As a teacher and parent I think these books are great for helping to avoid the summer slide which comes with the many weeks students are out of school. These books cover a wide range of topics and are geared to where students should be at given the listed grade level on the books.My kids love the short easy lessons, which they learn more about topics they know or something new. The stickers are always a win in our house and they enjoy the outside and getting activate activates at the back of the book. Only down side is that it is based around the American (USA) for a lot of the geography and history but it yet another opportunity for learning.
