Pandigital S8X1103LP 8.5"x14" Portable Wand Scanner w/ Software Leopard

I will not say I am a huge fan of the animal print, but this little scanner is so useful! I don't use the wifi option often because it is just too many steps, but I use a cord to connect to the device and never have any problems.

Wanted a portable scanner & found this little gem. I really liked it came with a docking station & have scanned several things using it. The quality is good & the docs are easy to read. The included OCR software was another selling point for me. Haven't tried scanning without it being docked, so I can't attest to how good it performs or the quality, but will update my review when I do. So far, I'm very happy with my purchase!

The scanner itself works fine. It's a 4 star portable scanner with wi-fi capabilities. It will scan your documents & images and give you very nice JPGs & PDFs. The software that comes with it is another story. For Macs, unless you are running an early version of OS X (10.5) it won't work for you (the most current Mac OS is 10.12.5). The seller said I needed to contact the software manufacturer. The software manufacturer said contact the seller unless I'd like to purchase the latest version of their software for $89.95. Luckily I have the Adobe Suite and Acrobat DC can combine single page PFDs & has character recognition to make my documents editable; and I can use Photoshop to stitch images together. This is a buyer "BE AWARE" situation. There's nothing "wrong" with the scanner & it's a good price, you just may not get all the functionality you may have expected.

Love this model. I already had one and ordered for my sister in law, who is a teacher. She uses it in her classroom for scanning documents that she can emailed to parents. She takes pictures for her monthly news letter to parents and she can easily transfer over WiFi from scanner to classroom computer to complete the newsletter. Saves her time and the kids think it’s magic!
