Reduced the noise of my built in refrigerator by 75% by placing product on some of the inner cabinet (which was acting like a speaker box.) You only have to cover part of the walls to make it work. This is for sound absorption, not sound proofing. The surface needs to be exposed directly to the sound or noise. Very sturdy but easy to cut to any size with a razor knife. As others have warned, fantastic glue, but it takes precision & patience to tease off the paper backing without removing the glue layer. I found bright light & the tip of a razor knife worked best to separate the paper from the glue. Easy enough to nail or screw in place if you like. Some complained the boards are too thin, but thickness is no issue, since absorption & dispersion takes place only on the surface. I think the bad reviews I’ve seen here are folks trying to soundproof a room (to sound outside) or place the panels behind curtains, etc. They won’t work like that. Would be a great treatment for a music studio or home theatre. I tried several other products before finding this one- it’s a winner- highly recommended for the right application.

I bought these to use in the master area of our camper to help with noise while we sleep. They are awesome! Easy to install, stayed in place, and thick!Looks great - giving the walls dimension and style.

These look good on my office walls. They seemed to help with some of the echo on video calls but do t totally reduce.

We had to muffle the very, very loud sound of a new air conditioning/ HVAC unit we recently installed in our condo. We live in Florida so the a.c. is on all the time. We stupidly purchased two cheaper sound muffling acoustic paneling products first, both were foam. The black foam squares of the first product had no adhesive backing but each square panel was made up of v-shaped rows of sound muffling acoustic material. The other was a roll of acoustic foam with adhesive on the back. Both products helped but neither were great (the ridged material was a pain to install). In a desperate act of hopefulness, we bought the felt-based squares (with adhesive backing). They are as thick as the foam roll but rigid, not floppy. The felt-based squares are double the price of the other products but so much better! The felt-based acoustic tiles actually subdue the roar of the new HVAC unit, and they are easy to install. Spend the money. Get the job done well and easily -- the felt also is a better environmental product, too.

I bought these panels to absorb some of my dog's barking. My wall is 13' X 9' and I bought four packs of the light blue, two of the grey, and two of the black (I ended up with 2 blue and 8 of the grey/black each left over). They look great, and I can confirm that the adhesive is paint safe and effective. But the sound-absorption effect is marginal at best. They're great for absorbing very light noise, but not loud sounds like dogs barking or music. The adhesive is also a bit difficult to work with. It tends to stick better to the paper cover than the panel which makes removing the cover difficult. Also, the panels are not all the same size, which added a headache to this project. You'll definitely need a box cutter to make them fit, and if you're particular about them fitting perfectly with each other, these are not for you, or you may want to hire a professional to install them. Bottom line, I don't recommend these if you're looking for a legitimate sound-proofing solution. I love the design I came up with and am pleased with the color choices, but that's about the only redeeming quality these panels have.

Remember that these only dampen the sound INSIDE of a room, not sounds from outside a room.I got two packs of these to cover the doors of the utility/electrical closets in my basement- huge difference in the amount of sound that comes out when the A/C or laundry machines are running!

It stayed up just fine and seemed to do it's job. But when it came time for us to move and I needed to take the panels down.... I scrubbed the walls for 12 hours and still never got all the adhesive off. Do NOT attach directly to walls with this adhesive unless you plan for them to be up FOREVER. Seriously, at one point I used a power sander and ended up damaging the drywall, but the adhesive was still there somehow. The strongest of goo-gone products and adhesive removers did nothing. Heating with a hairdryer worked to get about half of it off, after which point the rest had to still be scraped or picked off with my fingernails.

These worked! We bought a place that backed up to a highway and the noise in the bedroom really disturbed our sleep. As a last resort we bought the large set of tiles for a large beach scene picture, I went a step further by buying 2 large canvases and gluing the tiles to the canvases, giving us 2 pictures…placed them on opposing walls and were amazed at the depth of quiet in our room! We slept all night for a change!

Lo use para aislar el rudo que entraba por la ventana, se pego sin pro lema en ella y evitó que entrará el ruidoa, al ser blanco todavía pasa unalgo de luz así que no me oscureció demasiado

Como diseño están muy bonitos, pero no disminuye el ruido.
