Lira Clinical SPF Solar Shield 30 Hydrating

This listing is inaccurate. It's not the Solar Shield Hydrating version anymore, it's now the Oil Free. Had to return twice thinking it was a mistake the first time but I just dont think that this seller is sending this actual product in the photo anymore?

It is moisturizing. I prefer it as my sole moisturizer as it is very slick and smooth feeling (dimethicones, which my skin responds well to). Keep in mind that this isnt just a sunscreen, it has a slew of ingredients that make it more of a moisturizing treatment with sunscreen. Just need sunscreen? Then look for that elsewhere.No noticeable smell (though, currently I am sick, so who knows). Has a hint of yellow to the cream, but that doesnt seem to show up on my skin. Zero white cast. Gave it a go on an 80*F day, with plenty of physical activity. Seems to stay in place well, or at least I didnt notice any streaks or run off marks. I normally go for higher SPF for more outdoor intensive days, but this SPF30 is fine for me for days primarily inside with short duration outside time.It soaks in well, and I used a generous amount. It does have a slick feel for the first hour or so, but that may depend on how dry or not your skin is, and how much you use.I dont rate on price. We can all see the price, we all have different budgets, preferences, needs. It is a boutique item marketed as a having clinical performance, and so the price reflects that. I have other sunscreen moisturizers I prefer that fall into this price range, so it didnt turn me away. But I likely would not get this again, not because of the price, but I just have ones I like a whole lot more.One thing that does factor into my rating is whether an ingredient list is easy enough to find and read. Fails on both accounts here. This listing really provides no helpful information. If I was shopping for a moisturizer sunscreen, I would have passed this over because of that.4 stars for feel, smell, performance3 stars overall for everything factored in

For the price, I was expecting the most incredible version of SPF 30 cream ever.But, apparently, zinc oxide is zinc oxide & there’s no getting around the stickiness & the way it feels on your skin! The directions say to put it on all skin that’s exposed to the sun, but with a 2 ounce tube? Face only.I have super dry, sun damaged, 60 year old skin so I pictured this soaking right in & feeling wonderful… Not so much.It went on like all other SPF face creams & left the same slightly sticky/tacky residue. There’s no scent at all & the cream comes out of a teeny hole so you won’t squeeze out too much accidentally.I don’t doubt that the sun blocking properties are fine, but I cannot justify this price at all. The first time I wore this, I put it on after my regular moisturizer and it was...less than successful. The second day I tried it, I substituted it for my moisturizer and it went much better. This takes 20 minutes or so to fully sink in, but once it does it's a nice sunscreen.It's lightly tinted and it looked way too dark for my pale skin, but it doesn't really show up on the skin at all. It left no white cast. Frankly it reminds me a lot of Elta MD Mineral 41 SPF, only less mousse-y and less greasy.It has essentially no scent and it didn't cause me any breakouts. The first 1/3 of the ingredients appear to be silicones, though, so beware if that's an issue for you.I sweated through it, instead of sweating it off and it didn't sting my eyes.
