For anyone that doesn't know, these fans work by use of what's called a "peltier chip". It's made of two metals encased in ceramic and when you run a direct current through the chip, one side gets very hot and the other side gets very cold. Conversely, if you heat one side of the chip (or cool the other), it generates electricity.In the fans, the base plate gets hot from the top of the log burner and this heats the peltier chip. The peltier chip is connected to the motor that drives the fan, so the hotter the stove gets, the faster the fan turns.These little suckers work extremely well. The heat transference is better than in our previous (larger) fans because there's less metal between the stove and the mechanics. They kick the heat from the stove out in to the room and mean that we're kept toasty!We bought two fans and have them pointed in slightly different directions so that they kick out more heat, but one would probably have been sufficient for our needs.

Great price for this little fan. It starts working very quickly as the log burner warms up, and you can feel the heat as it blows it into the room. It is very quiet in operation. Definitely was a good buy!

Dislikes, err, none.Likes, very effective, fast working. Feels solid and well made. Perfect fit for our limited space.This review is based on first day use. If it maintains this level of efficiency then product would deserve ten out of ten.

Used on a free standing log burner. This product is probably one of the best of its kind. It comes on quickly, spins fast, is silent and does move air(don’t expect cooling fan performance, it is only designed to move air gently). The thermometer is not the prettiest and is best tucked away out of sight. The heat from the stove operates an electric motor and there is a safety device to protect from over heating. It comes very well packaged and I would definitely recommend it.

Thrilled with this little fan. Great price, completely silent, efficiently diffuses the heat round the room. Wouldn't be without it now.We burn just wood in our small woodburner, which gets very hot up one end of the room - now the whole room is toasty and it's a large room.

The 4 blades stove fan looks great and works a treat plus its construction is fantastic.

Well I wasn't sure if these little fans were worth the bother. Turns out they are not. It sits on top quite nicely and spins away quite happily but in all honesty does it make the slightest bit of difference to the room or heat..... no. So save you money and put it towards more logs!

Bought on the 27th August now the 20th December and it's stopped working.. Didn't start using it until November, Didn't last 2 months..
