Good Girl, Bad Blood: The Sequel to A Good Girl's Guide to Murder

An adventurous mystery for all
My teenage granddaughter suggested this series to me and it was a good read . One that I couldn’t put down with surprises galore. I probably liked this story better than the first although there’s enough connections in characters and plot that I was reminded of events from the first book. The author doesn’t hold back on tough issues involving the young. In other words life is not sugar coated here.

great sequel
I usually don’t think sequels are good but this one was very good. It gave enough follow up of the first book and yet had a different story to make this its own book.

YA Thriller
This book was decent for me being on the older side and reading a YA book. The plot did seem a bit far fetched for someone still in high school, but if you could look past it, the writing style is great and it’s worth the read.

Pacing was a bit off but enjoyable
Good Girl, Bad Blood is the second book in the Good Girl Guide To Murder series. The first book reminded me of Nancy Drew. This one was more like Miss Marple for teens.I read this immediately after reading Book 1. It wasn't quite the amazing, out of this world, sequel people said it was in reviews. The majority of this book was pretty weak in comparison to the first one, and left me with more questions than answers. This particular mystery plot was definitely a bit less of a disbelief stretch, though still a little wild, and even though I was far from crying or even tearing up somehow this ended up also being more emotional. There were some incredibly moving scenes from events leftover from the previous book and specific to this book's plot and all that just made everything really solid.I had to constantly remind myself that this is a young-adult thriller series because the way that pip, ravi, and connor put pieces of information together was a bit crazy.I’ll probably read book 3 (sigh) but need a break from Pip.

Engaging and suspenseful
The final novel in this amazing series. The heroine continues to amaze the reader with her determination and intelligence. The author's description of the girl's escape from the clutches of the serial killer will astound you. I did think the decision of the heroine to cut off ties to her friends and family at the end of the story, to avoid them being under suspicion by the police, was a little overdone. Maybe paranoia was a factor in the girl's psyche.
