Airfix Hawker Typhoon 1B Car Door 1:24 Military Aircraft Plastic Model Kit

Fantastic kit from Airfix. Parts just fall together.

Airfix in these modern times a a lightyear ahead of my early model making years, the level of detail produced in plastic is simply stunning, their 1/24 Typhoon variants and Hellcat are a solutely class. I know of no other manufacturer that produces models with oil can effects on the aluminium skin of the aircraft. Airfix did this first with thier bubble canopy Typhoon, they have carried it over to the car door entry Typhoon. I started building kits as a young lad with my dad just over 55 years ago, and was bitten by by the modelling bug. Now in my early 60's I have seen many many manufacturers improve and produce fantastic detailed kits, I have also witnessed the comings and goings of some great companies like Wingnut Wings and Acurate Miniatures too sadly. The loss of Wingnut Wings was a very sad moment for anyone who had built their brilliant kits. But Airfix carry on, they improve and their 1/48 scale re ent releases are very nice, the company's 1/72 Wellington bomber is likewise excellent. Keep up the great work Airfix, what's next on the 1/24 scale horizon.

Bought as a birthday gift but disappointed to find when opened by the recipient that the glue and paints are not included. This is stated clearly on the box but not made clear in the ordering process. Disappointing On a Bank Holiday in lockdown. The quality of the kit is excellent as other reviewers have stated.
