Not painless.... but very effective!
39-year-old male here! I started noticing hair in my back the past few years. Shave then feeling fine hair thin stubble on where was shaved did feel or look stellar. After a little research... I was either going to way the spots on my back... Or epilolate it.Due to convenience, ease of use, lack of mess and length of time hair is gone I chose this lovely device. For me, best results came from shaving, waiting 3-5 days then rolling epilator over area. Not painless... But manageable and from what I hear is that with more use, hair removal is less painful.Great device!

Decent product for the price
For the price, it's pretty good. Good for beginners! The epilator is quite loud and sounds scary when you first use it. If you've never used one before, it's pretty terrifying. This was also my first epilator and I was intimidated when I first plugged it in. After a couple weeks of using it, it's not scary at all! Just loud! The noise is a bit louder than I expected, which some may not like. There are two speeds which I'd say is around the same. The slider for selecting speed is kinda weird that it slides really easily to the max, so I recommend caution if you need it to stay on the slow speed. The small light on the front is very helpful when getting close to the skin. The machine itself is a decent size and fits in your hand well. The head part with the "tweezers/razor" comes off for easy cleaning. There is a small tiny brush that comes with the box which is very useful as the tweezed hair can fly everywhere when you use it. The cord is also a pretty good length.I'd recommend it for hair that is thicker and maybe 1cm+ longer otherwise the epilator won't be able to pick it up. My hair is actually on the thinner side, especially on my arms, which I feel like it isn't really pulling it out but rather snapping the shaft off. It works fine on my armpit and leg hair though. If your hair tends to be thinner or brittle, it may not work as intended and may not get the hair bulb out.Despite that, I think it's a good product. It works for more average thickness hair. It might work even better for very thick hair. The pain wasn't so bad, and you get used to it very quickly. I don't even blink anymore at the highest speed and now I roll it across my skin more slowly so it can have time to pick up the hair. If you've waxed/tweezed before like I have, the pain of the epilator compared to those (imo) is less.

Where have you been all my life?
I can’t believe I never heard of epilators. I’ve shaved most my life. Trouble with bumps and skin tags under my armpits and nicks around my knees. Also tried at home waxing. I like it but just messy. This is so easy. I first tried it on my arms, just to see what it was all about. I’ve never shaved my arms or really had a desire to, but I figured it was a good place to experiment with this new toy. Amazing. I have fine hair for the most part, the lower legs and pits get a little thicker, but I’m part Asian. So for thicker hair, not sure how it will feel. Very little pain on the arms and legs. Does take a little getting used to the pinchy feeling. But so great on the finer baby hairs around my knees and on my thighs. THen I tried it on my face. Not too bad on the cheeks and jawline, stings a little, but for upper lip it hurts. I get welts then the area breaks out with little whiteheads. I’m going to keep trying this area just to experiment, but tweezing might be better for that area. Then, I got brave enough to try the pits. Hurts like a mug the first time. I almost didn’t try again. But if you ever waxed consistently, the first time is the hardest. Then the roots are not so set in place. So I recommended waxing the pits first, then trying the epilator thereafter. I have not and will not tried my hoo-ha. But, there is a nice little shaver attachment that works perfectly to keep that area trimmed down. One downside is that it’s not cordless. But the cord is long enough for me. Attachments come apart and clean easy with the brush, q-tips and alcohol. Overall, a great experience with this product. Life changing.
