H**E
l want to love him, but can only really, really like him.
It really is the little details that can affect the final tally. 1.) The package is fantastic looking, but for some reason Triad couldn't make it large enough to hold the figure intact, so they shipped him with his head in a separate part of the container from the body. Not a deal breaker but it can certainly be disconcerting when you're not expecting it. 2.) While the belt and stirrup lacing may be historically accurate, they are a true pain in the nethers to accomplish. To wit, that belt is never, EVER coming off again, and the stirrups will be done when my hackles die down.Again, not a deal breaker, but trying. The real issue I had was the fact that I almost immediately had to reglue the holders for both the whip and the scabbard. Which requires care since the belt and the straps are in fact real leather. At this price point, that's a definite sore spot. All griping aside, once the hassles are surmounted, this is still a good looking figure. The body is more like one of the old Sideshow bucks than the modern ones Hot Toys are using, but he can hold most devil-may-care swordfighting poses fairly well. And hey, it's Zorro. Let's face it, you and I love him lots, but he's not as popular as he used to be - meaning the likelihood of getting another 1/6 figure of him anytime soon is pretty slim. Just be prepared to spend some time and patience with him before he's shelf-ready.

But it was brand new and arrived in good shape.
It was the wrong Zorro, I thought it was Antonio Banderas. But it was brand new and arrived in good shape.
