Helix Stainless Steel Ruler 6" / 15cm (13006)

I use rulers often so I have a variety of different kinds and sizes. This 6 inch metal ruler was a great find.It's sturdy and the cork keeps it in place. The markings are very easy to read; another big plus. And the size is perfect for smaller projects.

The marks between the 5" and 6 " on the 6" Ruler - gives the size down to 1/32". It is the perfect size 6" ruler. Well made. It will last for ever. I can measure anything with it that is up to 6 inches. It gives me the exact size!

I needed a small ruler to fit in a small space and this is exactly what I needed. I also appreciate how sturdy the reuler is plus it has a cork backing so it stays in place and doesn't slide around.

One of the best rulers I've ever owned. It may sound silly to hype something as unexceptional as a ruler, but if you're someone who uses a ruler multiple times each day, you may as well get something quality.As a science student, I use this ruler to make graphs, charts, and diagrams every day. It's extremely sturdy—it takes a considerable amount of force to make it flex. It has a cork backing to prevent it from sliding around, which is a necessity on a metal ruler. It's compact so you'll be able to carry it around anywhere you go. The markings are clean, and don't seem like they will rub off easily.If drawing straight lines is something that's slightly important to you, then this ruler will probably make your day to day life a little bit more enjoyable.

So, I chose the 6 inch Helix Stainless Steel Ruler because it has a non-scratching, non-slipping, cork board underside surface. I wanted a straight edge of this size that would fit onto the glass surface of my 8½“ x 11” flatbed scanner without scratching it. I'm a photographer and also an archivist for my non-profit organization and I commonly have to scan smaller 4" x 6" or so photographs and I want to keep them as straight as possible (even though my scanning software has an angle "skew" feature to straighten images). Another reason for using the Helix ruler is that the edges of the scanner housing can sometimes slightly cut off the sides of the image by 1/16 to 1/8 inch while scanning so I can't use the straight edges of the scanner's housing itself to keep images straight.Now, as for the quality of the Helix ruler, it is decent. There's a slight flex bend to it, but still strong enough that it is not a deal breaker at all for me and for my purposes. Also, the measurements on the metal face of the ruler are etched into the metal itself as other reviewers have alluded to and therefore won't fade over usage of time. And the $5.00 price point is agreeable. No complaints overall.I LOVE when TOOLS can do the job in an excellent fashion. RECOMMENDED!

I wasn't sure what to expect ordering a stainless ruler.After all, this is dramatically different from the wooden ruler with the metal edge I had as a child. Would it be straight? Would the instructions be in English? What if a stainless ruler didn't work the same way?I was gratified to know that is stainless ruler works the same as a wooden ruler. If you have not used an updated ruler in the last 30 years, give this one a try. It measures correctly, it helps you draw straight lines, and it is easy to use straight out of the box.Give it a chance. You won't be disappointed.(Unless you were expecting a 12-inch ruler. Then you will be disappointed. This is not a 12-inch ruler.,)

Rather well made. No casting marks, no scratches, no sharp edges.Measuring markings are engraved into it instead of just printed, which is great.Markings do not start and end at the beginning and end of the ruler. There are unmarked spaces.It is rather thin, and it flexes quite a bit, but it's better than having it be thick and heavy.The cork backing is not flush with the edges of the ruler, so when placing it to draw a line, the actual ruler part is elevated slightly. This is to protect the cork backing from being damaged.I am not sure how durable the cork backing is. If it does not hold up, I'll just scrape it off.The ruler should last a long time. It even comes with a plastic sleeve to protect it from scratches.

Measurements appear accurate. Not the thickest steel, but it won't bend from normal use.

Fits perfect in my pen/pencil case. The cork grips well and the metal is quite sturdy. A good buy.

Me ha venido excelente para mi trabajo, puesto que a veces necesito llevarla en mi estuche cuando me toca trabajo fuera de la oficina, antes utilizaba una de plastico y siempre terminaba rompiendose o dañada, esta regla al ser de acero flexible es mas resistente. La recomiendo si tu idea es algo portatil, que requiera poco espacio en tu estuche.

Ein stabiles Edelstahllineal, dass nicht verrutscht und super in ein kleines Mäppchen passt, oder wer an seinem Bullet-Journal ein kleines Täschchen hat, da passt es gut hinein.Somit empfehlenswert.

Cork on the back to stop it slipping! Genius! I accidentally bought 2 and I don’t even care. I’ll keep one for my home office and put one in my bujo
