Good batteries
I've used this particular model of Maha batteries for the past couple of years and are impressed with the charging power. I find that they are best when charged with the Maha C9000. I've used a set of four for my cordless T Beach headphones. When compared to other 2000 mAh rechargeables (sannies), these lasted longer. How much? Well in my not so scientific testing, I found the 2000 mAh batteries lasted about 5-6 hours before complete drain. The Powerex would last 8-10 hours. After about a year of constant use and constant recharging though, I now only have two of the four are still active, hence the 4 vs. 5 star rating. Make no mistake, I really like these batteries but I'm giving them four stars because had two of the batteries impedance increase to the point where charger would not charge them. This was determined by Maha C9000 charger; it's a safety feature of the C9000 (best charger on the market).Would I buy them again? As you can tell, MOST DEFINITELY, I bought this 16 pack for use with my camera flashes.

Tested capacity not as high as hoped
I purchased these batteries for their high capacity so that when they decreased for sitting for a week or two they would still have more power than my Energizer 2300 mAh. After breaking in several in my Lacrosse smart charger the measured capacities are not as high as I would have hoped for. Most of them are reading 2600 mAh. Some of them are reading as low as 2300 mAh. My Energizer batteries all read over the rated 2300 mAh. Hoping that in time they will mature to their 2700 mAh rating.Other than that they came charged and ready even before I broke them in. They performed well and once I loaded them in my external battery pack I didn't have to change my batteries once during a wedding. So at least they perform long!!

Great durability and shelf life
I bought four 9 volt, sixteen AA and thirty-two AAA Imedion low loss batteries and sixteen Powerex batteries at the same time, 3 years ago. I also bought the Maha Powerex Wizard MH-C9000 charger at the same time.Note that the 9 volt batteries are only 230 mAh. This means that in any high drain usage situation they will not last as long as an alkaline battery. This also means that some equipment that has a constant low drain, like my IR temperature gun, will discharge the battery in a few months. But for equipment that actually shuts off when not in use the batteries will be ready to use for months to a year without recharging.I love the charger, it gives you so much more control of charging and can even repair batteries that will no longer take a charge. With the Imedion batteries, I have not had a single battery go bad in 3 years of heavy use--MUCH better lifetime than the old style rechargeable that won't hold a charge for more than a couple of months. One exception to this was the old style Powerex batteries. They hold a charge longer than other brands I have used and in 3 years I have not had any of the Powerex or the Imedion batteries go bad (I charge all of them every 2 months whether they need it or not). The Imedion batteries really will hold a charge for a year, if they are just sitting on the shelf and not being used.I love Maha's chargers and Imedion batteries.

Good batteries
Wanted to warn other customers. These batteries are from old, old, old... Really Old Stock. I tried to Discharge/Charge cycle with sophisticated charger LaCrosse BC 900 to all of them, charging with 200mA option (the slowest). After first cycle these show 1100 mA capacity. Then slowly grows up. After month long training course I got them to reasonable 2500mah capacity. I had similar experience with 2700mah Sony batteries - when I forgot package for three years (and I don`t know how long it stayed not sold in shop). But generally these are good boatteries - the same as Sony 2700 and Sanyo 2700.

Best Batteries on Amazon!
I recently purchased these batteries with the Powerex charger/analyzer. There is a "break in" mode on the charger that is recommend for breaking in new batteries. I used this mode when I first received the items and then looked at the manual. The manual stated that the "break in" mode takes 38-45 hrs. I plugged the charger into an outlet that is frequently used by my family. I almost made it to last hour of the process and my family unplugged it from the wall, making me start the whole process over! Needless to say I was a little upset because it is frustrating having these batteries and not being able to use them. I finally got the FULL "break in" mode completed and the batteries ranged from 2530 - 2570 mah. I'm hoping they didn't reach the full 2700 mah because I disrupted the "break in" mode before it was done. Even if all 16 batteries come up with the mah in this range I'll be satisfied. I'm planning on using these batteries with a Fenix TK-45 flashlight, which requires 8 2500 mah batteries. Also the 2700 mah is just a selling point in my opinion so a hundred less mah is expected. Overall, these batteries are way more powerful then any Sanyo, Energizer or Duracell battery. However, if your just looking for a normal aa battery and don't care about the capacity then I'd recommend getting a cheaper one. These are mainly for high powered devices that require 2500 mah.
