Toothpaste without harmful additives and good for sensitive teeth
I really like this toothpaste from Sensodyne as it does not contain any hazardous additives, contains flouride, whitens your teeth, and helps deal with tooth sensitivity. The toothpaste is black from the charcoal, so you notice spots all over your sink (or towels or clothes if you get any on them), however it washes away easily like any other toothpaste. I like this toothpaste and plan on continuing to purchase it as long as it is available.

Amazing toothpaste
This is probably the best toothpaste I've ever used. It helps with my mouth dryness and it doesn't have any mint flavoring (which... just burns my mouth anyway so I don't know why mint is so popular in mouth cleaning products). And as a pleasant extra surprise, it makes my tongue pink! I had long suspected that brushing my tongue wasn't getting it pink because of the chemicals in other toothpastes, particularly any "whitening" agents. But despite this toothpaste also being whitening, it gets my tongue completely pink. And my teeth seem just as clean as with any other toothpaste, although I haven't been to a dentist visit yet to get their opinion on my relative plaque level. Now yes there are some negative aspects to consider with this toothpaste because it is black. You have to be careful with it to not make a mess in the bathroom. It's probably the same mess as traditional white toothpaste, but it's just that it shows up a lot more since it's black. But I quickly learned to work around this and brush my teeth more carefully and clean up immediately afterward. I also saw at least one other review saying this toothpaste stains. That is a lie. I got this toothpaste on washcloths, hand towels, etc, and although I couldn't seem to get it off rinsing with plain water, it comes off every time with one normal wash in the laundry.

Don't Even Look At Other Whitening Toothpastes!
Ok, this is THE best whitening toothpaste you can try, and trust me, I've tried a bunch of different whitening kinds of toothpaste and whitening products.First, any type of whitening toothpaste can whiten teeth IF they use larger and harsher abrasives in them. The problem is that these large abrasives in the toothpaste will remove the stain and your tooth's enamel over time. That will lead to thinning enamel, browning of teeth when the underlying dentin material shows through the thinner enamel and increased tooth sensitivity to hot and cold foods. So there is a challenge to find a good balance between removing stains WHILE preserving tooth enamel. As a product with ADA approval and Sensodyne being Sensodyne and having a priority to help with tooth sensitivity, they don't want to remove your tooth enamel. They want to strengthen it to prevent the situation from getting worse. So this whitening toothpaste not only whitens teeth within 2 to 3 applications BETTER than most others that I've tried, it won't make your teeth sensitive.I noticed results after my very FIRST use as a heavy coffee and tea drinker. I didn't have to use professional dental options, which usually give me sensitive teeth. I now tell everyone I can about this. It's like a hidden gem of a product that everyone should know about.Trust me, just try it. You will know within a few days if it's worth your while or not.BTW, it does not stain! It will make things black but washes away right away. White toothpaste just doesn't show up everywhere easier on a white sink. Since this is black, it looks like it's more messy, but it isn't. It's just more visible and makes cleanup easier. You can simply lower your head when you spit as well to reduce spray. Good luck!

It’s black!
It did a fine job of cleaning your teeth and taste OK, but face it, it’s black. It’s black foam in your mouth, on your toothbrush, and in your sink. I gave the unopened ones to Goodwill. I really need to read the fine print better.

Buyer Beware. Shouldn't be allowed for sale. Research before you buy!!! Horrible.
Despite its popularity, there’s no scientific evidence backing up activated charcoal’s benefits for teeth.Since there’s no data behind the claims that activated charcoal is safe or effective, products containing this ingredient aren’t eligible for the American Dental Association (ADA) Seal of Acceptance.According to the ADA, activated charcoal’s abrasive texture might even harm rather than whiten teeth by wearing down tooth enamel.Risks of Using Activated Charcoal on Your TeethIf you want to give charcoal toothpaste a try, talk to your dentist first. know the risks, and try not to use it for a long time.Experts have urged caution because of issues like: Thinning enamel. When you use activated charcoal toothpaste, your teeth may look whiter at first. But after continued use, your teeth may start looking more yellow. If this happens, it’s because the activated charcoal has worn down your enamel and revealed the dentin layer of your teeth.More surface roughness. In a lab test, researchers found that activated charcoal powder on its own increased the surface roughness of teeth and even changed the enamel surface. The study also showed that activated charcoal powder didn’t whiten teeth. It’s easier for bacteria to cling to your teeth if the surface area is rough, raising your risk of cavities and gum disease.I returned mine and then did all the research. Save yourself time and save your teeth and maybe even your health.Just one mans opinion and research but please do your own before your buy.

Not impressed
Have been using this for several months. Have not noticed a difference and it stains the hell out of the sink. Not worth it. Went back to using regular white toothpaste for whitening.

Great toothpaste.
This is my favorite toothpaste. As with any charcoal-based toothpaste, make sure to rinse your sink out after using so you don't have black residue. It keeps my teeth clean and white, and doesn't aggravate sensitive teeth or gums.
