Amazingly Good Quality!
I needed to purchase a duster of some type so I could apply boric acid to kill the (ugh!) cockroaches that we have started to see in our bathroom. Since I will be spraying the openings in the wall around the plumbing pipes which are under the bathroom vanity, and into electrical-outlet boxes, I needed a unit that was small, maneuverable and easy to use. this unit fills the bill perfectly.I researched every unit out there that seemed like it might work. I liked the whole idea of this one because it is made by B&G Equipment ([...]), located in Jackson, Georgia. This duster is at the very low end of their significant product line ... all of it targeted at the professional pest control industry. This is a very high quality unit. The bulb itself appears to be made of real rubber and is very easy to squeeze. It also appears to very durable. It's also larger than I expected ... From the flat base to where the top screws in it is6 1/2" high and the bulb is 3 3/4" in diameter. It's a great size. I have smallish hands and it feels just right. The top unscrews from the bulb making it easy to fill the unit -- the opening is just shy of an inch and a quarter wide. The threads in the bulb are part of a nicely-machined aluminum insert which makes it very easy to remove and replace.Three extensions are included. Two are large diameter and two are small diameter. One small diameter extension has an accessory small, straight extension and the other has an accessory small curved extension. the extensions are friction fit onto the top and work very well. All in all, this is a terrific product and works just fine, thank you.

Great product!
This worked great! I used it to kill a couple of yellow jacket nests around my house.

DEATH TO ALL BUGS!
I use diatomaceous earth in this device, and wow! It works a treat!Getting DE where you need it is a major pain-in-the-neck. It's fine and powdery, so using a spoon or a straw just doesn't work all that well. And when you botch it, oh wow, what a mess! White powder everywhere. It looks like Al Pacino sneezed! This puppy fixes that problem. I use the fine-tip applicator to blast DE behind the window sashes, where all the ants are coming in. I just slip it into the cracks and/or gaps, and ploof away until I see dust coming out elsewhere. And once it's in there, it's permanent. It's great for dusting the stove, too! Poke the applicator under the heating element and turn it in all directions as you squeeze pure white DEATH all over the insides. Go ahead and give a blast inside your microwave, too! Just don't be *too* generous, or you'll cause the electronics to overheat. The other applicators are for laying down defensive barriers in your kitchen cabinets, basements, garage and around the perimeter of every room in the house. It's also good for ploofing your dogs and cats without freaking them out. This will also work GREAT in your garden, for spot applications on stink bugs and other ruinous pests, as you can control exactly where it goes. Hit the base of the plants, but not the flowers, which are visited by bees.Avoid the flimsy plastic devices, and go with this one. Once you get done with your house, take it to a friend or relative's place, and treat their house too. It even comes with a clip that attaches to your belt, like a gunslinger of the Old West!Cigarillo optional, but poncho, hat and spurs are totally required.

Heavy duty
Bought to spread diatomaceous earth for natural pest control. It's quite a bit larger than your hand, so it will hold a good amount of powder. Need a small funnel to load it with powder. Kind of hard to be very precise with it but then again, you're using a device that blows powder around, right? Seems very durable. Heavy rubber bulb. Not really able to spread a fine "cloud" after I tried it on some garden plants so maybe I'm doing it wrong, maybe it's not really meant for that. Works OK for spreading a line of powder, like on a sill or around a basement for pest control. Extra tips are nice but I didn't really have a use myself for the super fine tips. You might.

Surprisingly good..
I am not often surprised by the quality of an item, but this duster was shockingly good. I scrolled through all the dusters looking for something to blow Delta dust into some carpenter bee holes in a second floor fascia board and figured they all pretty much looked like cheap junk. I took a chance on this one since the reviews were good and knew I made the right choice when unboxing it. The unit has decent heft so I knew right away it wasn't thin, cheap rubber. I unscrewed the top and was surprised to find burly metal threads in the top of the bulb. Impressed so far. They included a trigger clamp and split ring which was hugely helpful in clipping it off to my toolbelt between squirts since I was working on a ladder 2 stories up. The tips go on easy and are very effective for working the dust into small spaces. Sure, in an ideal world I'd like to have something that reaches up to second story carpenter bee holes and blows them full of dust that doesn't require me getting on a ladder and getting up close and personal with the bees, but until I find such a weapon this is a fine choice.

Useable but with caution
Other reviews are accurate. You do unscrew the cap so the opening is large enough to put powder into. However, please be cautious using any pesticide or chemical. Powder chemicals easily get into your eyes and nose and lungs. Wear a decent mask. I bought it for diatamacheous earth. I put some marbles into the container with the product and yes, I used a funnel, and the powder clogged the funnel. Best to find a funnel that is not too small at the end. I am not sure how large it must be. Spreading the product takes some practice. It does tend to come out to fast sometimes and too slow others and puffs into the air, but I think it has to work better than the little plastic squeeze bottle that is advertised. A plastic ketchup dispenser like used in some fast food places might work well, but you still need to use marbles to keep the product moving and also use proper precautions. Use a professional pest control if you are unsure of what you are doing with your product and your health
