It's a nice pan with a great nonstick surface.
This is my second 60th anniversary pan. We had one that arrived dented from another store and they refunded it and told me to keep it. I used metal utensils and no matter how much I told my husband to not fire up the heat to full blast he did it every time. After 2 1/2 years or so it started to show wear. He finally started putting it in the bottom rack of the dishwasher and that oxidized it. Every time it came out we'd oil it up and it worked nicely. Between the dent and looking scorched on reentry after washing it, it was time for a new one. I have other scan pans and absolutely love how food cooks in them. You need to warm up the pan on a lower setting before increasing the heat and adding oil. I've tried cooking without oil, but I prefer the texture of foods cooked with a little oil. Clean up is easy too. wait 5-10 min, use a little liquid detergent and a nonabrasive brush or depending on what you've cooked run some water and wipe it down. Don't put it in the dishwasher, and don't use metal on it.

Fry pan is 9.5" and I was expecting a 10.5" based on comments -- pan size is not mentioned in product description!
My ding is for the pan size. I was expecting a 10.25" fry pan and I received a 9.5" fry pan. I was led to believe the size was 10.25" (someone else mentioned 10.75") by the answers to the questions about the product. Nowhere did I see 9.5" fry pan mentioned. In fact, the size of the fry pan is NOT in the product description. I am disappointed and upset about the size because I had a need for the bigger size but not for the size I received. I depended on Amazon reviewers and Amazon itself; Amazon made this an Amazon Choice item. Has the pan size changed since 2016 when these comments / answers were written??? Amazon should make this clear. The seller should add the pan sizes to the description.Addendum: I gave this 4 stars originally because I was upset that I was led to believe the fry pan was 10.5", but it is 9.5"; however, it is not the fault of the product, but of the seller (Amazon?) to not clarify the sizes of the pot and pan. The one cover fits both pans. I have been using the 5 1/2 quart pot for cooking pasta and stew type dishes and the fry pan for dry sautéing tofu and vegetables (with just a little bit of water) with excellent results. The tofu cubes literally danced over the skim of water in the bottom of the pan and they even got a golden brown coating. I do have a smooth top electric range and even though neither fit the rings perfectly, they seemed to heat evenly. When I think to myself "I love my new pot and pan" I think then that I ought to go back and change my star rating. So five stars for the product itself.

Great set. Lid fits pot and pan.
My Scanpan pots and pans are the first ones I go to for cooking almost anything. I was worried that this pot would be too small, but I think it's actually a great size. I'm not sure how many quarts it is, but it's perfect for cooking a pound of pasta, and the lid fits both the pot and the pan. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about the slight waffle texture on the bottom of the pan, but I don't notice a difference while cooking. Seems to work just like my flat bottomed Scanpan pans.Scanpan pans that I use seven days a week - like the pan we cook our eggs in every single day - don't last forever. They last for several years, just not forever like a stainless pan might. At some time the finish starts to break down. They still work, but they do lose some of the non-stick quality. I don't think I've every had a Scanp-an that "peeled" like some other non-stick pans do when they get older. To me it just looks like the Scanpan finish starts to roughen up when it gets old, and that's when I start looking for a good deal on my next one.I have read some complaints about food "sticking" even though this is a non-stick pan. I've never had that experience, but I always cook with fat. With a little butter or oil, my food doesn't stick in the pan.

The perfect non-stick pan
I am going to be 'adulting' hard here, but I LOVE this pan. You could fry salmon without oil and the skin wouldn't stick (I still recommend adding a little oil to get the skin crispy ;). Even though they say you can use metal utensils, I am trying to be careful and have been using wood and plastic ones... but I have accidentally poked it with a fork once or twice and it didn't leave a mark. One thing to watch out for is you can't use the pan on an induction stove since it is made out of lightweight aluminum, but Scanpan has other pans that work (they even have an induction specific line it looks like).

My favorite pan.
I have owned this pan for over a year and it’s amazing. I scrub it hard and it’s still great. It’s size is perfect. Not too big like a 12” and not as small a surface as some 10”. It’s light weight. It’s the pan everyone reaches for (more often than my Woll pan). I like it so much I bought one for a gift and another one for myself for when mine finally needs to be replaced.

So far so good
I am in search of a true non stick pan that will last a long time. I’ve tried green pan and other ceramic pans and they all seem to work well for a limited amount of time. This pan has been working great so far, but only time will tell how long it will last.

Good value
Excellent pan but needed dozens of washes to remove a black oil like residue from base

Misrepresentation of products!
Oder this 9.5 scan pan to complete my set. It came with an interior cooking grid, did not show it! On display! Did not order this style!

Love my Scanpans!
I'd been looking for quality cookware for a long time but couldn't find anything that was great quality and under $300 a piece. I love to cook but I have a beer budget (ha!).Then my aunt, who's 90 years old and a gourmet cook, showed me her Scanpans. She told me that for years she cooked with European cast iron (and Le Creuset) but, as she got older, they were too hard to maneuver. A chef friend of hers told her about Scanpans. She's been using them since and loves them. So, on her wise advice, I bought the anniversary set that comes with the 12" pot and frypan with interchangeable lid.I, too, absolutely love them. They do a brilliant job of browning foods, have even heat throughout, clean up like a dream (they truly are non-stick!) and are lightweight. The interchangeable, see-through lid works well on both pot/pan and the fit is tight.I use my pot for everything from brazing to roasting and making jams. The frypan is a good size but being only 12" there are limitations to how much you can put in it.I will definitely be purchasing more Scanpans when my budget allows. Maybe they'll have another special deal! (hint, hint Scanpan!)

I don't understand all the positive reviews. We're old ...
I don't understand all the positive reviews. We're old and have been cooking for a long time. Lots of stuff that isn't supposed to stick – sticks and burns. Sent it back and bought a competitors ceramic product and less than 1/2 price – works prefect.
