Q: What if my Apple Pencil 2 has a silicone like sleeve on it?

I have a silicone sleeve on my Pencil 1 and am going to be glad to ditch it finally as all it did was keep me from losing the cap over the connector and sliding too much on the pencil but maybe you could use something like a silicone grip that is only on the area of the pencil that charges as a compromise.

Q: Am I supposed to need to keep re-syncing my pencil to my iPad by briefly attaching it to the tablet side every time I charge or is that a defect?

Yes, it seemed to necessitate a re-sync. I just use the case as a back up charger.

Q: When my apple pencil is fully charged, can it stay inside the charging case without over charging or damage the pencil . how long can it stay inside ?

Yes, the pencil stays fully charged in the case. I don't how long it can stay in the case but I have left the pencil in the case for over two weeks without issue.

Q: Is there a way to tell how much battery the case has left?

The Led light on front goes to red if it’s low on battery besides that, no there’s no percentage of battery.
